Remembering the kid from a decade ago, the couple seemed rather amused.

"But don't the kids usually grow taller than their parents these days, I heard a report about it?"

Uncle Fu muttered, giving it a thought.

"Ahh no, the kid's parents were about 5 feet, I know them well since they used to come every week."

"And the boy also said that if it was not for our soup then he would never have gotten taller."

"Haha, he is still weird."

Uncle Fu shook his head while Aunt Qin continued.

"At that time I thought that he was merely joking since he used to drink our soup a lot, but now that he said it, could it really be that?"

Aunt Qin muttered, staring at Ye Qian.

"It's true."

Ye Qian nodded before pointing at the other side dish that looked like a stir fry of meat.

"As for this stir-fried duck, you have used birch wood fungus and also hairy green fruit."

Ye Qian then rubbed his chin before adding.

"They are very good at improving your immunity and also help in digestion."

The two of them could only stare at Ye Qian since he was able to tell the use of these herbs and also some that they didn't know of.

As for Ye Qian, although he told a few uses since it had been quite a long time since he had come in contact with such herbs, he was having a bit of trouble remembering their uses.

One had to know that he had been living in lesser heavens for a couple of hundred years before he had ascended to the Greater Heavens.

And these were the only herbs that he could find in order to feed himself for a few years until he could find some way to get powerful enough to save himself at the very least.

Back then he didn't know the names of these and he would collect these herbs and then bring them to the human market and sell them to get something or the other that would be useful for him to get stronger or to get knowledgeable.

Remembering those days when he was barely even able to keep himself up for a day and would need to stay in the wild to keep himself alive and when so many people conned him for the herbs that he brought them with great effort and even fighting against his life, Ye Qian could not help but feel a bit weird.

'Maybe if I didn't hear that voice in my head or had thought that it was just my hallucination, I would have never tried to live and lost all hope of meeting them.'

He still remembered when he was in despair and had lost all of his hope after coming to the strange world that he had little to no idea about and was still trying to somehow live thinking that he would get a chance of meeting his family back again one day.

In the wilderness, a man wearing ragged clothes was dragging a large enough bag on his back.

There were several cuts and gashes on all covering his body and on certain heavily injured he seemed to have pasted some blend of herbs from the looks of it, they do seem to have been working just well since his bleeding also seemed to have completely stopped.

There was a long trail of footsteps behind him which led to the huge mountains far behind him stretching for several tens of kilometres.

From the looks of it, the man was walking towards a nearby town whose wall was just another hundred meters away.

The wall of the town also seemed to be made rather crudely, it was made of just some rocks that were placed upon each other unevenly, but nonetheless, disregarding the looks of it, the wall seemed pretty sturdy.

"Stop."

Walking another hundred meters, the man was already on his wits end when he was stopped by the guards.

"Sir?"

The man asked, seeing the guard raise and crossed his spear right between his path.

"10 copper coins for businessmen."

"But I am no businessman, I am just a small herb seller."

The man said, his voice barely audible as if he was not even able to speak a word and was too tired but still forced himself to say that.

"Ahh, then I should be blind to see so many Spiritual herbs on your back, anyone who does business after entering this town is a businessman."

The guard sneered as he pointed at the large ball of herbs and many plants that was warped into a big ball and the man had been dragging it all this long.

He was wearing thick leather armour and an iron helmet.

And under that armour was crudely made pants and shirt.

The clothing of the guard looked completely like the ancient times.

And that was the same for all the people present around the man.

"Are... are these really spiritual herbs?"

The man who had lost most of his energy was as if he had taken an energy boost as he looked at the guard with shock.

There was hope and also some helplessness in his eyes which was quickly overtaken by happiness.

The corner of the guard's lips curved even further as he nodded.

"Of course, do you think that I, who had been guarding this gate for more than 20 years, would lie?"

"And why would I even do that?"

He then shrugged his shoulders as if stating the obvious fact.

"Ahh, yes, there is really no reason for you to lie, I am sorry, I didn't intend to dishonour sir."

He apologized trying not to make the guy irritated since whether his hard work would pay off or not now depended on him.

"Don't spare, just pay the entry charges and you can walk in, I can't be worried about you since I got lots of work to do."

The guard waves his hand off in a cool manner as if he could not care about this man any less.
