Chapter 2262 - Leave and Return

Tianming had to admit that he hadn’t noticed it at all at first. He suddenly felt a chill.

“Oh no, you’re so handsome! If you’re targeted by him, then it's over. They haven’t managed to poach Ling'er, but you’re going to put a green hat on her. Though it does match her wings very well..." Ying Huo roared with laughter, wings akimbo.

"Go to hell!" Tianming cursed, then added, "But you're right. I am handsome, way more than Lin Hongchen! But I’ll beat this shorty into a pulp if he messes with me."

"Stop bragging. He’s tenth on the minor ranking. Killing you would be no different for him than killing a chicken. Go and grab his collar if you’re so brave!" Ying Huo said contemptuously.

"You’re the chicken," Tianming retorted.

While talking to Ying Huo, Tianming anxiously waited for Guchi Xiaoyin and the others to leave.

As soon as Lin Hongchen left, Guchi Xiaoyin called out to the other ebon disciples. "Let’s go!" All of the ebons left, one after another. Seeing that the divine hazards were about to swallow the place, they quickly evacuated the area. The disciples from other forces had already fled, as they were worried about being besieged by the ebons.

Hurry up! Tianming urged in his heart. Not long after, the central area was almost deserted and Tianming was ready to rush in at any moment. However, he never expected that two ebon disciples would return after everyone had left. Just when Tianming was about to make his move, the two suddenly appeared.

"Fuck!" Tianming was dumbfounded. Upon closer inspection, Tianming realized that they were actually acquaintances of his; he hadn’t noticed them earlier. They were Guchi Xiaoyin's subordinates, Qi Qiling and Qi Hongzhen. They were some of the earliest ones in the center of the horde and had been present from the start.

"Big Sister, here!" Qi Hongzhen called Qi Qiling over as he approached the ring finger, which had turned into mere fragments.

Qi Qiling's eyes were bright. "I saw the finger-shaped pillar during the fight with Lin Lele and Shuntian Bohan. It looked like a pinky finger. But I didn't pay much attention to it at the time. Who would’ve thought there’d be another one here. This one looks like a ring finger, and there was even a ring on it.…"

They must have temporarily put away their Oldgod Rings for them to speak so openly.

"Big Sister, forget about all that. Let's take these fragments home so Father and Mother can study them. Who knows? We might gain something," Qi Hongzhen excitedly said.

"Okay, I’ll collect them. You keep a lookout," Qi Qiling said. She had confidence in herself. The others were gone, and they were the only ones who had returned. She also possessed a low-sanctuary-class starvore frog. Although she had yet to reach the astral god realm, she was strong enough to fight ordinary astral gods.

Tianming’s eyes darkened upon hearing their conversation. He was so upset he was close to vomiting blood.

"I finally waited until everyone left, but they just had to turn back around!" It was such a coincidence. When the pinky finger had appeared the time before, Qi Qiling had been there as well so her doubts were normal. It was now or never. The siblings wanted to collect that pile of rubble.

"If they take it all away, all my efforts would be for nothing. If dripping their blood on the stones works, I’ll really have nothing." He couldn’t wait any longer. The center was still shrinking and the pressure from the numerous divine hazards was already creeping in and would soon reach the fragments.

"I have no choice. Let’s do this! Be careful of the starvore frog!" The last time Tianming had seen that thing, Lin Lele couldn’t defeat it even when her swordbeasts entered the sword.

His lifebound beasts were ready in his lifebound space. Following the divine hazards, Tianming suddenly burst out with the already-split Grand-Orient Sword in both hands. Because he had been hidden for a long time, Qi Hongzhen, who was on the lookout, didn’t expect to see him at all.

Grandvoid Compendium, Delayed Capture! Using the gold Grand-Orient Sword to perform the move, Tianming transformed into flickering light and passing shadows. He was so fast his figure was blurred. The power of time didn’t look fancy, but it was strange. During this period of time, Tianming had made continuous breakthroughs and his cultivation had grown immensely, so he was able to freely use the sword art.

"Who’s there?"

Qi Hongzhen had an ominous premonition. Pulling out his whip, he swung it in Tianming’s direction; however, he was still too slow. All he saw was a flash of golden light before a strand of blood-red flint infernal sword ki pierced through his abdomen, while another slammed heavily on his forehead. Qi Hongzhen's entire world was spinning.

"Lin Feng!" His eyes widened, filled with disbelief. They had battled when they’d first entered the Oldgod Domain, and at the time, Tianming had taken a long time to overcome his worldring skysnake. But now he actually sensed a lethal threat coming from Tianming.

As the flint infernal sword ki tore through Qi Hongzhen’s body, his combat power plummeted and he was heavily injured. In an instant, Godsin transformed into chains and pierced through him several times.

"So you really did remove your Oldgod Ring," Tianming sneered, dragging Qi Hongzhen toward his sister.

"What do you want? I’m an ebon!" Qi Hongzhen gritted his teeth. The stinging pain throughout his body made him sweat. He shouted for his sister.

When Qi Qiling looked up in surprise, she realized that Qi Hongzhen had been taken.

Tianming had been so quick, precise, and ruthless that Qi Hongzhen was caught before he could even call out his warbeasts. Qi Qiling was equally stunned. As she recalled, Tianming was just Lin Lele's “follower” a while ago.

"What do you want?" Qi Qiling narrowed her eyes.

"I want you two to leave," Tianming said.

"Do you also think this stone pillar is useful? Or maybe I should ask if the previous one fell into your hands?" She glanced at his spatial ring.

"I don’t want to waste my time talking to you two. You’re not wearing your Oldgod Ring, are you? If you don't listen to me, he’s going to suffer," Tianming said.

"I'll put it on now. Go ahead, make him suffer. Kill him if you’ve got the guts."

Pulling out her Oldgod Ring, Qi Qiling first showed Tianming, then showed the pile of rocks. It was obvious she knew that Tianming didn’t want too many people watching. The image of them immediately drew the attention of many people, which gave Tianming a headache.

"Fine, I’ll do it!"

Tianming's flint infernal sword ki stabbed Qi Hongzhen's body. Devastated by the Flint Infernal Impulse, Qi Hongzhen let out a scream of agony and his face instantly turned pale.

"How dare you! Lin Feng, you’re looking to die!"

Qi Qiling was furious. She knew that Tianming wouldn’t dare kill under the watchful eyes of thousands, so she pulled out a dark red whip and lashed at him. The whip was wrapped in a thick blood mist and surging with cosmic impulse. It could lengthen and shorten in an instant, or pierce into flesh, just like the tongue of some sort of frog. It was a cosmic artifact!
