Chapter 2375 - The City in the Sky
The first warbeast, a world clam, reminded Tianming of the Tranquil Battlefield that looked like a green clamshell. It was a green shell, covered in strange patterns. White mist poured out from an open gap, quickly filling the air. The dense mist formed an illusory city in the enclosed space, and as time passed, the city became more and more real. It felt like a mirage.

Specters of a similar build would have trouble fighting it. A world clam and dragonscale superfiend! Shenxi Shang didn't have to switch warbeasts. As long as they were allowed to grow, their combat power would eventually reach ether class.
Shenxi Shang also had ten powerful low-sanctuary-class warbeasts which he had carefully selected. They were of the same species, called skydepths hyenas, which were nova wildbeasts that lived in groups and loved to eat. Known for their endless appetite, a stomach like the abyss, and a strong digestion, they could devour lifebound beasts ten times their size. They were ferocious and fearless. They ate everything, even human beings. Although their individual combat power was far inferior to the dragonscale superfiend, their combined strength was rather terrifying, and numbers were exactly what Shenxi Shang needed at this stage.
At that moment, the ten low-sanctuary-class skydepths hyenas had encircled Shenxi Shang, the world clam, and the dragonscale superfiend. With red eyes, they stared at Tianming and his lifebound beasts and let out agitated growls. Black drool dribbled from their mouths.
"They’re so strong!" Tianming frowned. This was the reason he’d had to leave himself room to maneuver. The dragonscale superfiend’s function was similar to Ying Huo. It could kill and conceal itself, and was powerful on its own. Possessing the abilities of both Xian Xian and Lan Huang, the world clam oversaw the battlefield and confused its opponents. The hardiness and resilience of its outer shell was beyond imagination. "Crap! Here come the experts at ripping out rear ends! Cat Bro, Tortoise Bro, be careful!" Ying Huo shouted.
"Take care of the superfiend!" Tianming said with trepidation.
"Okay, leave it to me." Staying small, Ying Huo flew up.
A decisive battle broke out. A storm of white mist swept across and, in an instant, a majestic city took form. The streets, walls, peddlers, and people were all so real. However, they were merely an illusion. The city filled Tianming and his lifebound beasts’ entire field of view, making it impossible for them to see their opponents.
"They’re gone!" Ying Huo was startled.
Danger lurked on every side.
When the world clam made a move, its ability, City In The Sky, had completely disrupted Tianming's strategy. Although the illusion didn’t confuse their souls, it obscured their vision and interfered with their movements. As soon as Ying Huo tried moving forward, a wall appeared in front of it. The wall couldn’t stop Ying Huo; it could still pass through, but it couldn't see its opponents. The entire city was crowded and complex, like the real world, with throngs of people. The noise of heavy traffic filled the air making the roars of the hyenas nonexistent.
Ying Huo merely stood still for an instant when an old man selling vegetables on the street in front of it suddenly turned into the dragonscale superfiend. Letting out a shrill scream, the superfiend pounced on Ying Huo with all eight claws.
"Fuck!"
Ying Huo quickly used Infernal Haze to escape the lethal attack. Given the superfiend’s strength and abilities, Ying Huo’s life would be in danger if it had been caught. But when it turned around, the dragonscale superfiend was gone. What greeted Ying Huo was the same bustling city and raucous crowd. There was hawking and talking, laughter, and children playing. It was bizarre.
A city wall suddenly moved and slammed into Meow Meow. It wasn't until it was closer that Meow Meow realized it was a hyena. The cat only smelled the stench of rot at the moment it appeared in front of it.
The clam had created an illusory city.

The opponent had his combat base, but so did Tianming. Thus, they all returned to Xian Xian's side. Tianming couldn't even clearly see his own team in this city. Xian Xian had even turned into an enormous building.
