The golden figure was undoubtedly Tianxi! He was the son of the second rex mundi and was ranked higher than Chi Hun despite being even younger.
"Tianxi the ebon! For what reason have you, the ninth rex mundi, chosen to appear in my Lin Clan to assassinate our genius!" Lin Chongyao magnified his voice through the Phantavoid.
Even though everyone had known that Tianxi was around, the Lin Clan couldn't really say anything until he appeared. Now that he had, many Lin Clan members other than Lin Chongyao took out mini formations that had recording functions to permanently keep Tianxi's image.
Tianxi wasn't an alien monster, and the Lin Clan hadn't 'killed' ebons like Dongshen Zhuojun had. The Lin Clan could use it as a case against the ebons in the Infinitum Bodhimanda.
For Tianxi to appear in this situation, he was most likely willing to risk it all. If Lin Yun had successfully handled Tianming, as per his orders, he wouldn’t have had to appear. The astralships and Tianxi's appearance were all just the ebons going against the Infinitum Bodhimanda’s rules.
Lin Chongyao used the Phantavoid to unleash nova source in two beams that targeted the two assailants.
"Get lost!" The Lin Clan clansmen that were worried for Tianming all roared out loud enough to disturb the seawater of the Infinitum Swordsea.
However, it was simply too difficult for an astralship to hit an agile expert. The two figures dodged and instantly arrived at the shrinking black star.
No one could block the critical danger at that moment.
The black figure, the alien monster, screeched and spat out a black sphere. Red light glowed within it and, as the sphere moved, it caused space to fracture. It was clearly not cosmoforce, but instead some power that not even Tianxi understood.
The ebon’s expression changed, the alien monster having become his competitor in the situation. However, he hadn’t predicted that his opponent would have such a strange and fierce attack up his sleeve. He used his cosmoforce to prematurely detonate the black sphere, causing a black hole to spawn at the spot.
Everyone clearly saw Tianxi being flung away and crashing into the sea.
The next moment, the Lin Jianxing-shaped monster arrived at the black star. His body was covered in black light and his expression was so ferocious that it made many Lin Clan disciples instinctively step back.
The alien monster ripped off its clothes and his body expanded into a titan of black starlight that was even slightly larger than the black star’s current size. Black mist that seemed the same as the black star possessed wafted out from its body. Then it stuck its arms into the hexagonal aperture, pouring its black mist inside.
“The Order Relic is now mine. With this, it’ll definitely be spectacular when I live again….” Its face no longer resembled Lin Jianxing’s. Two goat-like horns grew out of its head, while its eyes had been replaced by black vortexes.
Tianming’s black star shook as cracks formed, much to the spectators’ alarm. “Lin Feng!”
“How dare a mere god compete with me?” the alien monster cackled as it exerted more force. Its arms had reached into the depths of the black star.
However, the alien monster didn’t expect the growing cracks on the surface to instead form two new hexagonal apertures. They resembled two eyes that were now glaring at it!
“Huh?” The alien monster felt a ring-shaped object inside the black star. Its expression suddenly changed as the ring shone with green radiance that coalesced into two bracelets that cuffed its arms. The green light quickly began traveling toward the rest of his body, making it glow green as it passed.
The alien monster shrieked in pain.
“It turned green!” The Lin Clan disciples watched as the alien monster’s arms turned green and glossy, then began cracking from even the slightest vibration.
“Dammit!” The alien monster unwillingly broke off its arms and turned into black smoke that fled into the Infinitum Swordsea. There was a splash as it vanished.
“Lin Feng.…” Everyone could see that the alien monster had suffered a loss and ran. Thus, the most important thing now was finding out if Lin Feng had made it out alive.
The green light within the black star faded away as the black star continued shrinking. It had already entered the council hall's formation. Finally, it returned to human form, but its right hand and both legs were still missing, evidence of the fierce battle.
"Is he still alive?" People anxiously craned their necks to try and see into the council hall.
As for Lin Chongyao, he directly shot into the council hall and grabbed Tianming. Feiling and the rest also left the Fishguts, their eyes filled with worry.
Fortunately, Ying Huo had told them he was only unconscious, though the energies in his body were in chaos and his mind was exhausted. However, there was hope as long as he still lived!
