Chapter 984 The Beginning of the End (3)
Brood Mother's howls of pain filled the space. Lee Seng sunk into the safety of the darkness space. Ritsuka turned away from his "driver's spot" and knelt beside Lee Seng.
"Are you okay?" Ritsuka asked. Lee Seng watched the darkness move without Ritsuka guiding it. Lee Seng slowly sat up and nodded.
"I have to get back up there... I gotta inject her with this." Lee Seng summoned the Void Storage and pulled out the large syringe. Ritsuka and Lee Seng both stared at it as Keng appeared next to Lee Seng.
[Systems are now syncing...]
"Whew, that was close." Keng wiped his brow. He sauntered a couple feet away from Lee Seng and Ritsuka and looked around. "This place still feels so weird to be in."
"W-what happened to you? Why's there two tails now?" Ritsuka pointed at Keng. Lee Seng looked up and noticed Keng had two ethereal silver tails with gold accents on him.

Lee Seng's form shimmered and faded. Two bushy gold and silver accented tails sprouted from his tail one and grew to a little above his head. He looked up at it. He wiggled it and smiled.
"I almost forgot how this feels," said Lee Seng. A loud explosion drew the group upwards. Lee Seng pushed himself to his feet and summoned his weapon. He swapped the weapon and syringe and looked at Keng. "Our goal is to inject her with this."
"Roger." Keng gave a small little salute before jumping out of the darkness realm and into danger.
"I'll support y'all from here." Ritsuka said. Lee Seng nodded and jumped up. Red lightning flew everywhere as Lee Seng appeared from nowhere. Brood Mother's body was shifting as she wailed in pain.
Keng shot forward, dodging the unstable energy. He summoned Hydrosphere and slashed the wall of energy flying out in front of him. Hydrosphere absorbed the energy while it's master slashed horizontally into the air, releasing it back to Mother.
Mother's back exploded with tendrils, shielding her from Keng's attack. Lee Seng hovered in the air, taking in the state of everything. Evan and Calis were barely holding it together. Ritsuka was quickly making his way over to Calis and Evan.
"Runeweave: Communication." Keng quickly scrawled the runes with a single swipe. He swiped it and let it disperse onto his friends. "Everyone hear me?"
"Yup." Lee Seng nodded.
"What're we doing?" Evan asked.
"Create an opening for me." Lee Seng answered. "I'll stab the injection into her as planned."
"Roger that." Calis spoke. Calis and Evan disappeared into the darkness as Brood Mother pulled the tendrils away.
"You think that's going to be enough? I'm not like those weak pups I gave you a moment ago. I'm much worse than that." Brood Mother smirked. Her eyes glowed, forcing Keng and Lee Seng to jump out of the way. A large bean of unstable energy flew outwards, creating a large hole through the underground building.
Brood Mother set her eyes onto Lee Seng and fired another unstable beam. Lee Seng constantly blinked, moving around the room while Ritsuka guided the others towards Brood Mother.
"Don't Breathe." Brood Mother ordered. Lee Seng and Keng felt their lungs stop. Lee Seng lifted his hand and fired an attack back. Tendrils slashed the attack away. "Eating your father was one thing, but your Mother... she was... delectable."
Lee Seng flashes forward, sword raised. Anger sprawled across his face. "Don't talk about my mother, you manipulative, pathological lying sack of shit!" Lee Seng swung the sword, leaving himself open for Brood Mother's tendrils.
The tendrils plunged into Lee Seng's sides as Brood Mother's smile grew sinisterly large. Everything grew quiet for a moment. Lee Sent wasn't sure what was happening.
Evan, Calis and Ritsuka leapt out of the darkness and started their attacks while Brood Mother dug deeper into Lee Seng.
The tendrils ripped away as Keng grabbed Lee Seng and took him to safety. The pain was slow. It came late. Lee Seng could feel everything in him burning. It wasn't his fire. It wasn't Keng's.
Lee Seng looked at Keng and watched as his brother looked worried.
'What's happening?' Lee Seng asked. He tried to grab Keng's hand. 'im okay! I'm fine. I just can't... I just can't hear you. I-I just can't... feel you. Why can't I feel you?' Panic grew on Lee Seng's face as Keng abruptly turned and threw a shield up. Tendrils broke through the shield and knocked Keng away.
'Turn your head!' Lee Seng screamed at his body. 'Get up! Now's not the time!' The tendrils plunged themselves into Lee Seng's body, dragging him across the floor and pulling him up.
Calis, Evan, and Ritsuka were impaled. They hung on tendrils above Brood Mother. Brood Mother's lips moved and Lee Seng could understand every word coming out of her mouth.
"This is the end for you, Lee Seng Chang. I will kill your friends and then I will keep you alive to see the destruction of what your father has done to me! I will give my pain to you! I will give it a thousand fold!" Brood Mother was screaming by the end of it. Lee Seng could tell that much. He could feel himself slipping. His sword was pulled away from him and the syringe was uncapped and tightly wrapped around his right hand.
'I need to... inject her with this.... I need to...' Lee Seng's mind began to drift. He watched as Calis, Evan, and Ritsuka screamed in pain. There was so much blood. Lee Seng's breathes grew heavy. Tears began to fill his eyes and fall.
"Stop it!" Lee Seng shouted. He pleaded for Failed 001 to stop but she ignored his requests. He continued to silently scream for her to stop as he watched as friends helplessly beg for him to help.
Keng blasted forward, only to be impaled. Lee Seng screamed, feeling a part of him dying.
"No!" Lee Seng screamed. "Keng!" Keng whisked into the air as more tendrils plunged into him. Sobs fell out of Lee Seng's mouth. He couldn't do anything. He was just... helpless.
'Someone. Anyone. Help... help them... please.'
[Emergency System Activated!]
[Self healing has increased to full value!]

Brood Mother turned and looked at Lee Seng. Lee Seng's body was rapidly healing while the Biohuman's face was filled with despair. Things began to explode all around Lee Seng. The room shook. The tendrils exploded all around Brood Mother. She released more tendrils to grab Lee Seng's friends but they were nowhere to be seen.

The electricity in the room started to malfunction. Lights blinked, exploding from their sockets as Lee Seng's entire body glowed a strange gray color. The golden armor faded from view. Wind whipped around him, shirt billowing and revealing a glowing letter: N.
"It can't be..." Brood Mother whispered. Lee Seng's head lifted up. He stared at Failed 001, unmoving. Brood Mother's throat was suddenly dry. Her nerves screamed for her to flee but she couldn't. Her eyes shook as Lee Seng opened his mouth.
"Well, who do we have here?" A strange man's voice came through Lee Seng's vocal cords. He crossed his arms and cocked his head, observing Brood Mother.
"It can't be." Brood Mother's voice shook.
"What do you mean 'it can't be'? It is." The man stepped forward in the air, swaying his hips to the side. His walk, the way he talked... It was no one Lee Seng knew. "But here we are after so many years, Mai. So many years and I have to show up through the spawn of that man! Ah, life is cruel, isn't it?"
"Who are you?" Lee Seng's voice came through his own mouth. The man popped a knee out and sighed.
"I don't like this as much as you do, but I'd appreciate it if you just let me do what I was promised to do and then let me exit stage left." The man responded. He stepped forward with Lee Seng's body and put a hand on his hip. Brood Mother shrunk, shaking her head.
"It can't be you. You died long ago." Brood Mother stuttered.
"And I'm here. Wow." The man sarcastically gasped. He lifted his finger and pointed at Brood Mother. Lee Seng could tell she was afraid of this person coming through. He wondered if [Father's last wish] was this person or not.
Brood Mother turned to run but was immediately stopped by the man. He simply lifted a finger and shook his head. She turned to look at him. Her eyes were filled with tears.
"J-just let me go." Brood Mother stuttered. "I won't kill any of them. I-I'll --" The man poked his finger into Brood Mother's forehead. Lee Seng watched his nail dig and draw some blood b
"I can only give you a single way in. You'll have to figure everything else for yourself, Spawn of the Evil Doctor?" Said the man.
'Why do I know what you're saying?' Lee Seng asked. The man didn't answer him. He simply pushed on Brood Mother's head and pushed Lee Seng out of the body and into Brood Mother's body.
