He wasn't faking it nor trying to console her. He truly believed her. Sharing the information with Zeras helped her more than she thought, she had always felt the weight of the world was on her, but now that she shared it with him, she couldn't help but feel her burden lessen a little.
Not enough to make her completely confident, but enough to make her dried up hope to slowly begin blossoming once again.
