1531 Liu Qian’s Unusual Reaction
Huo Yao raised her brow. She genuinely knew nothing about Shangguan Yun’s academic results. All these years, he always had trouble learning new things. In a way, she was not to blame for her reaction.
In hindsight, she secretly felt proud of Shangguan Yun when she found out he was academically inclined.

On their way out, the teacher beamed brightly as he personally walked them out of the campus. He kept looking at Shangguan Yun intently like he had uncovered a treasure.
The teacher even asked for Huo Yao’s phone number out of fear she might change her mind about sending the boy to No.1 Middle School.
“Since we’re done with school application, I’m leaving now,” said Liu Qian to Huo Yao as he raised his hand and checked his watch for the time.
Huo Yao nodded and thanked Liu Qian. He had done her a huge favor, so she wanted to return it. “If ever you run into any trouble, I’m happy to help.”
The moment Liu Qian heard what she said, he promptly assumed that Huo Yao had learned about the patent problem. He went quiet for a couple of seconds and said, “Don’t worry.
Huo Yao glanced at Liu Qian and noticed the worry on his face. She asked rhetorically. “Did something happen at school?”
Liu Qian paused briefly before he smiled and shook his head. “Nope. I’m your teacher. If ever we encounter problems, I should be the one helping my students and not the other way around, right?”
Huo Yao could sense something amiss with Liu Qian. Before she was able to probe him, he waved his hand and went to his car. “Enough. I have to go now.”
Huo Yao crossed her arms as she looked at Liu Qian from behind. After contemplating for some time, she finally veered her eyes and got into the car with Shangguan Yun.
Shortly after they had left the school, her phone rang from the side.
Huo Yao tilted her head sideways and glanced at her phone before she reached her hand out to answer it.
“Are you at home or school?” Min Yu’s cool voice could be heard over the phone.
“We just left school,” replied Huo Yao lazily. She tapped her fingers on the steering wheel every now and then.
“Shall we have dinner?” asked Min Yu as he walked out of the basement and went upstairs.
Huo Yao checked the time. It was already slightly past 4:00 pm. “Okay then. Where?”
Min Yu gave her an address and said, “See you in 30 minutes.”
Huo Yao acknowledged softly and hung up the phone. She turned to look at Shangguan Yun playing video games in the front passenger seat. She shook her head without talking.
Before long, her car arrived at the destination they had agreed upon.
Meanwhile, at the clubhouse.
When Huo Yao parked the car, the young man sitting beside her finally stopped playing video games and raised his head. He glanced outside the window before he turned to look at Huo Yao. “What are we doing here?”
“We’re here for dinner.” Huo Yao undid her seatbelt and opened the car door.
Shangguan Yun hurriedly put away his phone and got out of the car as well. After entering the main hall, he kept looking around curiously.
Shangguan Yun was acting like a country bumpkin and Huo Yao could not be bothered looking at him. She told an employee about her reservation and the employee came over and showed them to a private room on the second floor.
After the person left the room, Shangguan Yun promptly lay down on the large couch in the lounge area and rolled over satisfactorily. “I was right. Life is good in a big city.”
Even though it was just dinner, it was very enjoyable.
