Chapter 1897 People Who Have Tried Learning the Truth Usually Die
Huo Yao veered her head to look at Min Yu. She naturally knew about the archaeological team's trip to Misty Forest last year. It was none other than the Forbidden Forest the village chief had mentioned.

Huo Yao nodded. For now, she was unable to link both establishments in terms of age.
Only one thing was certain. King and Sheng Ying might seem like they had nothing in common at all, but in fact, some things between them overlapped.
Mirage Base worked on the most advanced technology in the world while the Archaeology Association focused on matters that could not be answered using Science.

Or the time travel machine that Min Yu mentioned.
Both matters were linked to the Shangguan clan in one way or another.
Before long, Min Yu's voice could be heard. He interrupted Huo Yao's thoughts. "Does this mean that the time travel machine exists?"

Min Yu paused briefly. He seemed to understand what she meant and suddenly tightened his grip on her hand.
Before he was able to speak, Huo Yao raised her chin at the village chief. "Come on. I will take you to find the answers after dinner."
She needed some answers as well. King had already died once and she wanted to know his true identity.
Seeing this, Min Yu could only suppress all the questions he had.

Meanwhile, on the other end.
Shangguan Tong held her phone. No matter how she tried, she kept getting notifications informing her that Huo Yao was out of the service area.
As she thought about her previous conversation with Huo Yao, a serious look appeared on her face.
In reality, before leaving the clan, she had already made plans to enter the restricted area and destroy everything when she came back.
Sadly, her plans had to change. Mirage Base was losing patience and wanted access to the restricted area.
