Chapter 1904 The Past
Huo Yao lowered her eyes. Then, she turned around and spoke to Min Yu calmly, "I'm awake. I know what I'm doing."
Even if Sheng Ying's words were untrue, he was genuinely a master manipulator.
Min Yu looked at Huo Yao. He could feel his eyes turn watery. He could almost see Huo Yao when Old Madam Yang passed away.

The black and white jade promptly combined to form an eight trigram. They matched the engravings on top of the stone table perfectly. The moment the pieces of jade were put in place, the engravings came to life. Combined with the ancient characters around the circular dents, it looked like a moving combination lock.
At this moment, Sheng Ying took a couple of steps forward and quickly moved the mechanism controls on the stone table. The ancient characters appearing on it swiftly moved as well.
Huo Yao looked expressionlessly. She did not reach her hand out to stop him.
She could effortlessly crack modern pieces of technology, but she did not have a lot of talent for ancient-style mechanisms derived from the eight trigrams and five elements. The only person capable of turning on the machine was probably none other than her master.
Sure enough, Sheng Ying stopped after working on the stone table a little.

Huo Yao did not pay attention to the expression on Sheng Ying's face. The elders beside them were lying on the cold ground. She squeezed her hands slightly before releasing them.
In an instant, she raised her head and attacked Sheng Ying from the back. She moved deftly and wanted to kill him badly.

Sheng Ying seemed to already know Huo Yao would attack. He evaded her attacks effortlessly yet again. "Have you forgotten that I taught you how to fight?"
She was his disciple and he had taught her everything. He naturally knew her very well.
"Right." Huo Yao remained unmoved. "In that case, you should understand that students often surpass their masters."
"It's true that you are my best disciple, but you have one fatal weakness." Sheng Ying nodded and looked at Huo Yao. "You are too soft-hearted."
If he did not evade her attacks, his disciple might not really kill him in the end.
He simply knew her too well.
"What's wrong with being soft-hearted? Isn't it better than being heartless?" said Huo Yao mildly.
"You're na?ve." Sheng Ying scoffed. He raised his hand and slammed a corner of the stone table hard.
The atmosphere promptly contorted even harder. In an instant, the ground beneath the portal split open and a large black hole slowly appeared.
It was impossible to see the bottom of the black hole. Also, it was a powerful vacuum pulling things inside. Huo Yao was standing nearby and she could sense a powerful force pulling her inside uncontrollably.
Something changed in Min Yu's expression. He swiftly reached his hand to pull her. However, the force coming from the black hole was simply too strong. After some time, he finally managed to pull her from the edge of the black hole.
"Are you okay?" Min Yu's voice sounded deep. He refused to let go of Huo Yao.
Huo Yao's hair was a little messy from the wind but she remained calm. She looked at Min Yu and shook her head. "I'm fine."
Saying this, she turned to look at the black hole once more.
Time travel genuinely existed.
Huo Yao went into a daze.
Sheng Ying had no time for Huo Yao. He seemed unafraid of the suction of the black hole. He looked excited as he approached it. "Finally…"
In reality, he did not tell Huo Yao the truth earlier. This time, the time travel portal was set to send people into the future and not the past.

Sheng Ying had already walked up to the black hole. The strong suction coming from it made his face contort a little and there was undisguised excitement on his face.
He quickly took off his coat. Inside, he was wearing a silver-white tight-fitting outfit. At a single glance, it was clear that it was made of special material.
Sheng Ying squeezed his wrists and turned to look at Huo Yao. They were down to the final step before they could enter the time travel portal.
Anything that went against the course of nature came at a high price.
Back in the day, he had given her a new life. Now, it was time for her to repay her debt to him.
Sheng Ying pursed his lips without the slightest warmth in his eyes. He raised his hand and grabbed Huo Yao swiftly and with great force.
Huo Yao was not far from Sheng Ying. She kept looking at the black hole as she slumped into deep thought unable to pull herself back. Just as Sheng Ying's hand was about to touch her, Min Yu hastily pulled her behind him. He raised his other arm across his chest and deftly blocked Sheng Ying.
Sheng Ying laughed coldly. He raised his hands and put them in the shape of claws and attacked Min Yu viciously. Min Yu had nimble reflexes, so he effortlessly avoided his killing move.
Before long, the two of them exchanged blows.
Huo Yao's mind was still drifting, but she snapped out of her thoughts when Min Yu pulled her back. She had already remembered everything.
What master? How could he claim he was giving her new life? These were just excuses for Sheng Ying to conduct time travel research.
Right from the beginning, she was just a test subject and pawn used to confirm his experiment results.
Huo Yao smiled in self-mockery. The sadness in her heart dissipated. She looked up at Sheng Ying and Min Yu as they fought.
Min Yu could fight and was even considered pretty good. After exchanging a few blows, some blood was already oozing from the corner of Sheng Ying's lips. Sheng Ying grimaced in pain. For a moment, he was unable to stand up.
"Why do you want power and eternal life so badly?" Huo Yao walked up in front of Sheng Ying. She looked at him coldly. "Sadly, you will never have the chance to get what you want."
Saying this, Huo Yao raised her hand expressionlessly. She had a gun in her hand that she had secretly taken from Min Yu earlier.
Sheng Ying's eyes constricted. He was unable to avoid the gunfire at all. The bullet had already struck him in the chest. In an instant, blood bubbled from his chest making his silver-white outfit turn red.
In this instant, Sheng Ying could keenly sense life slipping from him.
His disciple was certainly good!
Sheng Ying narrowed his eyes. He clutched his wound as he tumbled swiftly and hastily went toward the black hole.
