610 The Lan's are men of honour
Erik stroked his hair tenderly, letting Alan enjoy this moment, because after the shock of this news, the almost panic-stricken fear he had felt a little earlier on learning that he was pregnant had finally given way to excitement, and so much the better.

So to answer his last question, as he still couldn't feel their baby moving inside him, he simply shook his head before telling him everything he'd learned: "Esme told me that our baby was already two weeks old.
She gave me some potions to take against nausea and she told me that the contractions I was feeling should fade quickly as they were due to this morning's battle where we both used up too much energy.
She told me it was a normal reaction and that our baby was safe."
As Alan was listening to him, he continued: "She also told me that she will come once a week to check if everything is okay and she will be the one who will help me to give birth to our baby, since it is the first time that a Warrior Spirit is pregnant she prefers to assist us herself… So next time don't just apologize to her, thank her too, for taking care of our baby."
Alan smiled then to reassure him, and he said: "Don't worry, I will, I promise... Otherwise, what did she say about your training or doing extra activities with your oh so irresistible husband, who has an insatiable appetite."
Erik then took his chin and looked into his eyes before saying: "A Husband... I think that sounds rather nice..."

So when Alan nodded and promised that he would take care of organizing everything, he finally said, because the weight of what his words implied had really broken their mood of happiness: "To get back to our baby...
