Willow then asked them, surprised: "You don't want me to stay in my human form? Daddy can cook for me the meat from magical beasts like he used to, can't he?"
Kevin then said to her, stroking her hair: "Of course sweetie, it's not a problem to be able to cook you food or not, I'll always do it with great pleasure... The problem is that in your human form your needs aren't the same and you risk weakening your animal side by not feeding yourself enough..."
At least that's what he had understood from his conversation with Axel earlier about their daughter's needs.
Axel then smiled at Kevin because he'd understood the problem perfectly and so he explained to their daughter: "Even if we find you really adorable in your human form, until you've reached your adult form, you mustn't neglect your animal side because it's still growing too, and you can't forget its needs just to please us."
Axel then said, feeling her hesitate: "Daddy and I, we love you just the way you are. My beloved little princess, whether you're in your Phoenix form or your human form, you're always the most adorable to us, OK?"
Willow finally nodded, knowing that Axel was right.
She'd already sensed that her animal side was far from satisfied with their family meals, even if the food was really delicious.
And it was true that she also felt tired more quickly when she was training in her human form and that she had to take breaks more regularly than when she was in her Phoenix form.
So she accepted their conditions, because she knew that her Daddies had taken this decision for her own good, but she still asked them: "When we're together, like now, can I keep my human form, and only use my Phoenix form for feeding and training?"
Axel could sense that their daughter really wanted to keep her human form so that she could play and spend time with them, so he said to her, as Kevin was letting him chose what was best for their daughter: "Sure you can, sweetie, as long as you can keep a healthy balance between your animal and human sides, you can do whatever you want.
Never forget that Daddy and I, we're here for you, we'll always guide and support you the best we can… You'll always be our first baby."
Willow felt really happy and loved at this moment.
She, who had lost her whole family before she was even born, couldn't have found better parents than Axel and Kevin, so she slipped in between them and wrapped her arms around their necks to give them a hug, because she didn't know any better way to express her love for them.
After this tender moment, Axel teleported them to their personal dimension where he had stored the meat that Miguel, Elias, Mykael and Colin had given them for Willow, and Willow, when she smelt the meat, immediately felt her animal side salivating and before transforming to satisfy her animal side fully this time, she took off her pyjamas because, after all, it was her Daddy who had drawn her that cute panda head on it, and she really loved it.
Axel had already planned everything and there was even a screen so that their daughter could change in complete privacy if she wished to.
So Willow used it, and left her pyjamas there because, after meditating, she would need to feed herself again before going to sleep.
As soon as Willow turned into her Phoenix form, the melodious sound of her animal side resounded all around them and Willow, before starting her feast, came to ask for caresses by landing directly in Kevin's arms.
Kevin said to Willow as she cooed under his and Axel's caresses: "Sweetie, you don't mind if I take a few pieces of meat, I'm starving, and this way we can all eat together."
Willow immediately said to him through their telepathic link, 'Sure Daddy!'
Willow flew up to the pile of meat and she showed Kevin the best smelling pieces of meat that could only come from the most powerful magical beasts and she said to him, 'Take these ones Daddy, they are the best, it will also help strengthen your body, and you need it too.'
Axel smiled and said to Kevin, as he was sharing the same telepatic link as them: "Our daughter is right, this meat will help you strengthen your meridians and therefore fight against the black flames... Thank you, my little darling."
Kevin caressed her again and then took several pieces of meat that Willow had shown him and he said to Axel: "Eat with me, I'm sure your animal side will be delighted too."
Axel smiled at him and as Willow began to eat her pieces of meat, devouring them with a huge appetite, Kevin cooked the pieces of meat quickly thanks to the fire particles and he and Axel ate their meal while watching their daughter engulf an impressive quantity of meat...
Kevin had almost forgotten that their daughter could eat so much when she was in her animal form and he understood better why Axel seemed kind of worried about their daughter's needs earlier.
But Axel when he felt Kevin's concern about their daughter, reassured him by telling him that everything was fine and that they would just need to help Willow to keep this balance between her animal and human side and that whenever they were free, they could still go and asked the elders of the Shapeshifter Clans for advices.
Kevin thought that it was a great idea and he then said to Axel, while eating their dinner: "After this mission, do you want to go see your family, we might not have a lot of time after that…"
Willow then turned her head toward them, waiting for Axel's answer, and Axel then told them: "You're right, let's go see them after this mission, I want to be sure that everything is going well for them after we left the last time, and see if Grandpa is finally fully recovered."
