Mammon had arrived right in front of the palace; he then took a deep breath and screamed with all his might. "Vampires! Come out and bow down to me!"
Mammon's scream caused the hearing of all the demons who heard it to buzz. Soon, several vampires appeared and kneeled before him. Yet, they were also confused by his sudden appearance.
Lucian was the only one who wasn't surprised, for Layla had already explained everything to him.
"Why did you suddenly come here, Lord Mammon?" One of the old vampires asked him.
However, Mammon's eyes continued to fall on Lucian. "Zorag! I came here because a member of your race is hiding a Royal Cat Demon in the castle, so I came here to capture that woman."
"Hmm?" Zorag was surprised to hear that, followed Mammon's gaze, and was more surprised after seeing Lucian. "Are you really hiding women of that race in your palace?"
"Yes," Lucian answered truthfully. "However, I cannot hand that woman over to you, Lord Mammon."
Hearing that, Mammon jumped down from the wolf's back, and he walked swiftly towards Lucian. He then took out a black scythe and pressed it against his neck. "What did you just say just now? Do you really want to die? Although you are Satan's direct subordinate, I will kill you if you don't hand over that woman to me."
However, Lucian looked up and seriously said. "Lord Mammon, I advise you to refrain from capturing that woman, or you will regret it yourself."
"Hmm?" Mammon narrowed his eyes after hearing that, especially since this was the first time a demon dared to say such a thing to him. However, he was also surprised by the seriousness on Lucian's face, and he then looked towards the palace. "What are you hiding inside?"
"I have nothing to hide except for the woman of that race." Even though Lucian lied to Mammon, his expression didn't change, making him feel even more strange.
Mammon turned to his wolf. "You could try sniffing his palace to check if he's hiding other creatures there."
The wolf howled and jumped closer to Lucian's palace, and it immediately sniffed to check inside according to Mammon's order.
However, the wolf certainly couldn't sniff out the smell of Ling Yun and the others, especially since Ling Xi enveloped them in her aura.
Soon, the wolf turned to Mammon, shook his head, and howled softly. "Howl."
"Hmm?" Mammon frowned after seeing that; he then looked at Lucian again and pressed his scythe harder, causing blood to flow from his neck. "I don't care what you are hiding in your palace, but you should bring that woman to me now, or I will cut off your head, and you should already know that my scythe can take your life."
"Lucian! You'd better leave that woman to Lord Mammon!" Zorag urged him, for he didn't want him to be killed because it would weaken his race even more.
Another old vampire named Arniz also urged him. "Lucian! You don't need to think about anything else and hand over that woman to Lord Mammon."
After that, the other vampires also pressed Lucian, but he seemed unmoved by that. "If you want to kill me, then you can kill me right now, Lord Mammon."
Even though Lucian didn't want to die, Ling Yun gave him such an order, and he was powerless to refuse him.
The vampires gasped in shock after hearing Lucian's words; they couldn't believe he would rather die to protect a demon of other race. However, they were also confused by his attitude and felt that his character was different from usual.
Mammon's face was filled with rage after he heard that. Regardless, he also seemed hesitant to kill Lucian, for he didn't want to seek trouble with Satan, and his previous threat was just to bully him. "Wolfie! Bring that woman to me!"
"Howl!" The wolf howled loudly and ran to enter the palace.
However, just as the wolf was about to pass through the palace gate, its body was hit by something invisible. It was sent flying backward a great distance and hit the ground very hard, causing it to howl in pain. "Howl!"
Mammon and the vampires were shocked to see that, especially since the wolf's body was so big, but it was blown away so easily.
"Who!" Mammon shouted loudly towards the palace. "Who dares to attack my pet?"
"Mammon, right?" Ling Yun asked as he appeared before them, shocking them.
Wasting no time, Ling Xi immediately moved behind Mammon, touched the back of his head, and read through all of his memories.
"A human? How can a human enter this Demon Realm?" Mammon and the others muttered in shock.
Ling Yun crossed his arms over his chest and stared at Mammon with a murderous gaze; even his killing intent leaked from his body, causing the vampires to break out in cold sweats. "That's right, I'm a human being, are you surprised by my arrival?"
'What the hell? How could a human like him be so terrifying?' Zorag, Arniz, and the other vampires muttered in shock. Moreover, they could not sense Ling Yun's true strength, even though they were stronger than him.
On the other hand, Mammon was not intimidated by that, and he continued to stare at Ling Yun with disdain. In his eyes, he was just a tiny creature that he could easily kill, so he greatly underestimated him. "How did a human like you come here?"
"I don't need to explain it to you." Ling Yun replied as he took out the Chaos Dragon Cannon and pointed it at Mammon. "For your information, that Royal Cat Demon is my wife, so do you think I will remain silent and allow you to capture her?"
After hearing that, Mammon's eyes narrowed, and his facial muscles bulged out. "Heh! Do you think that little cannon of yours can hurt me?"
"Really? Do you want to experience the power of my cannon?" Ling Yun asked as he smirked slightly.
Mammon stretched out his hand and made a challenging gesture. "Come! Shoot me with your cannon."
Suddenly, Ling Xi moved beside Ling Yun and told him. "I've read all his memories and found the location of Zhao Yao's mother."
'Hmm? So that person really is Yao'er's mother, huh?' Ling Yun was amazed to hear that, but he nodded in satisfaction. 'That's good; they can reunite after this.'
"So, what's your plan? Are you going to kill Mammon now?" Ling Xi was okay with it, but if Ling Yun really killed him, it would cause a huge mess, especially since he was one of the seven demon lords. Therefore, Lucifer and the other demon lords would not remain silent, and they would probably head to the human realm to hunt him down.
"Hey, Human! Why are you silent? Quickly shoot your cannon at me!" Mammon roared, but they could understand that he looked down on Ling Yun.
Hearing Mammon's challenge, Ling Yun smiled faintly and channeled his Devil Qi into the Chaos Dragon Cannon, and he shot it directly at him.
*Swish*
Immediately, a jet-black Qi ball shot toward Mammon, but both he and the vampires were shocked as the Qi ball grew bigger and bigger.
"Get away from this place!" Zorag shouted loudly as he flew away; Lucian and the other vampires immediately followed suit.
Meanwhile, Mammon seemed unfazed by that. Instead, he immediately took a stance, mustered his demon Qi, and prepared to swing his scythe.
"Heh!" After the huge ball of jet-black Qi closed in on him, Mammon immediately swung his scythe towards it, and the clash between the two produced a tremendous wave of wind.
"Hurrah!" Mammon shouted as he pushed the scythe with both hands, but he was being pushed back by it, causing large imprints on the ground at his feet. 'What the hell with his attack!? How can this ball of jet-black Qi be so much stronger than my Demon Qi?'
The vampires were utterly shocked to see Mammon being pushed back repeatedly, and they could clearly see that he couldn't fight back.
Zorag then asked Lucian. "Just who is that human guy? How could his attack be so powerful that it overwhelmed Lord Mammon like that?"
Lucian sighed softly and explained to him. "His name is Ling Yun, and he is a powerful cultivator. Moreover, there are many cultivators who are much stronger than him by his side, and one of them is even much stronger than Lord Lucifer."
"What? Are you kidding me? How can there be a human stronger than Lord Lucifer?" Arniz asked in shock.
Lucian shrugged his shoulders. "I already met them when I went to the human world to look for my daughter, and I couldn't move in front of them."
The vampires looked at Lucian in shock, and Zorag asked again. "Then where is your daughter now? How come I haven't seen her in so long?"
Hearing that, Lucian couldn't help but sigh in his heart. "Kate is now Ling Yun's woman, so she lives in the human world with him."
"Huh?" Zorag and the others stared at Lucian in disbelief after hearing that. Moreover, they knew all cultivators hated demons like them, but Ling Yun had taken Kate as his woman instead.
Lucian then warned them. "No matter what happens today, it would be best if we don't stand on opposite sides of Ling Yun, or else our vampire race will be annihilated at his hands."
