Chapter 84 84:Martial Spirit Awakening Ceremony[II]

Lin Fang sighed heavily, glancing at the stalk of dried grass as he walked down, lowering his head. Amidst the rows of students, jealousy that had been brewing in their hearts burst forth, and those envious decided to strike back.

"Hehehe! What did I see? Grass..."

"Shut up, it isn't grass... It is Divine Grass."

"No, it's a GODLY Grass…The G.O.A.T of all Grass."

"Don't joke like that. Everything has its use. This grass can be used to feed Divine animals or herbivore Martial spirits."

"It seems God has listened to my prayer. This bastard had been acting as if he owned the entire Academy nowadays even after being defeated by Seph."

Laughter and ridicule emerged all around the hall as people enjoyed mocking Lin Fang.

Despite the mockery and ridicule, Lin Fang maintained a blank expression.

"Lin Fang, your accomplishments are quite great, so no need to feel down. Just focus on your cultivation," a pleasant voice echoed in his ears.

"That's what I am planning to do," Lin Fang replied in a soft to elderly voice and looked at Elder Qin behind. Though he looked down from the outside, he couldn't contain his excitement and leaped for joy.

What he awakened wasn't the Divine Grass but a World-Devouring tree that could suck the life essence of another cultivator and nourish him.

'Hahaha! How can I, Lin Fang, be less than perfect? With this, I will show Seph how high is Mount Tai.'

Ignoring Lin Fang, the awakening ceremony proceeded.

On average, one out of every six manages to awaken a Martial Spirit. However, very few can awaken a spirit above Grade 5.

Things took a sudden turn when Ella took the stage.

A dense pillar rose toward the sky. An imperious roar of a beast emitted from Ella's body suddenly.

Yellow rays of light began to appear from Ella's back, and when all the rays of light converged, the phantom of a colossal, ferocious, and malevolent tigress appeared with a monstrous aura.

At this moment, all the students and teachers felt a huge sense of oppression.

"Thus..." The announcer responsible for the ceremony was dumbstruck before composing himself.

"A Rank 10 Martial Spirit White Tigress."

Ella, elated, walked down the stage, jumping into Seph's embrace, who hugged her lovingly and caressed her hair.

"Did I do well?"

"Yes, you did. After all, whose girl you are."

"Yours," Ella answered with a mischievous smile.

Ella then separated from Seph and waved at her parents. Evelyn shouted back, cheering for her daughter's success, while Lex nodded, thinking that he had made the right decision to adopt her and throw away the trash.

One of the best decisions he could be proud of.

"Seph Greymore!"

The announcer announced creating a stir in the crowd.

"Seph, it's your turn. I am curious about what you are going to awaken," Ella shouted, locking her gaze on Seph lovingly.

"I am also curious about that."

Seph, under everyone's gaze, walked toward the stage with steps filled with elegance and poise.

"My heart is beating fast."

"Why?"

"Because we might witness history today."

"Stop being naive."

"Hmm! Just wait and see."

"He's gonna blow away our minds and steal our hearts."

The crowds were already going crazy, filled with anticipation, wondering what Seph's Martial spirit would be.

Seph grinned, witnessing the huge momentum created just by his presence. He stood above the stage with a pose as if he stood over the lives of many.

From there, his eyes could trace everything, especially Lin Fang's sullen expression and eyes burning with jealousy.

His eyes then fell on Su Lin, but he retracted his gaze. Though he was quite interested in her body; she turned out to be an empty shell. Her luck had been reduced greatly, and she had broken free from being a heroine due to her character deviation.

So except for her body and family background, she has nothing more to offer now and that's why he decided to wait.

According to the tropes, a new protagonist may awaken her heroine halo.

Shaking his head, Seph's face became solemn as he immediately raised his palm toward the white orb and grasped it firmly.

BOOOM!

A stunning scene could be seen as Seph's entire body began to buzz and quiver. It was like an incorporeal destructive power lying dormant in his body suddenly burst out with an explosion.

The air around exploded with red dots, as though it had blossomed with a small wisp of flames.

Seph gritted his teeth and endured the pressure emanating on his body by the soul. If he had been a little weaker, the pressure exerted by his soul would have crushed him. That is why it's advised to awaken the Martial Spirit beyond 18 years.

The scattered red dots were immediately absorbed into Leon's body.

BOOM!

A Crimson thunderbolt emerged from his body, creating a heaven-defying scenario.

Ella closed her lips with her palms in fear.

"Come out!"

Seph screamed, following which a hum echoed, and a figure emerged but it was devoured by an unknown energy.

Soon, the unknown energy materialized.

An indistinct and transparent humanoid figure adorned in ancient armor glowing in runes floated in the air, as if a Supreme Emperor from Heaven had descended into a mortal plane, emitting a powerful force that could cause people's hearts to flutter in fear.

"It's... It..." The announcer's voice quivered in shock seeing that Almighty figure.

"It's an unknown spirit of unknown rank. A rank that had gone past the scale."

"Ladies and Gentlemen, we are now witnessing history."

BOOM!

As if proclaiming its sovereignty, a burst of divine rays burst from the figure.

With a devilish smile, Seph laughed looking at the majestic Martial Spirit.

'This world is mine to take. Soon, everything in this world will be mine... Mine only.'

......…

Chalice City, Elysium…

While Seph caused a huge commotion, in La Belle Saveur, one of the best French restaurants in the world and the best in Elysium, a pair sat before each other.

"I was really surprised when you asked me for the dinner date. It's even a miracle that you remember me," the crimson-

auburn-haired woman spoke with a smirk.

"I don't have a choice, do I?" Leon smiled dryly praising her fiery fishnet gown that exposed her curves greatly.

"Hey, Sophia, since you know so much about Blood Net, do you know the Queen Of Ace and Feng Ruoxi."

Sophia's elegant movement of taking the scoop halted briefly.

"Have you seen the picture of Queen of Ace?" Sophia asked with her eyes narrowing dangerously.

Leon, for some reason, felt a very bad premonition but he just shook it. After knowing a bit, he knew that though Sophia might be jealous. However, she wasn't going to cause drama.

"I have seen it on her profile pic," Leon answered, taking a sip of wine to hide his uneasiness.

Sophia's lips curled upwards, and her eyes turned as sharp akin to a dagger wanting to dig into Leon's face.

"Then how blind can you be, to not recognize this? That's me, you asshole."

Leon's jaw dropped slightly, and the wine from the glass, instead of entering his mouth, trailed down onto his clothes.

Leon blinked his eyes with beads of sweat forming over his head and asked, "Haha! Y…You are.... joking."

"Right?"

The pleasant atmosphere suddenly froze.
