As soon as the notification popped on Ben's screen, he swiftly retreated to a safe distance without disturbing the slumber of that gigantic creature. One more thing he noticed was that there were some short categories in these beasts, like advanced and intermediate. The higher the rank, the more energetic the blood will be.
Ben wanted to know more about these rankings and where he stands with his strength right now. But unfortunately, now was not the time to ask that question.
"Alright, time to find more sources of blood and continue my growth," Ben declared, buzzing his wings in determination. He knew that by consuming the blood of different species, he could further enhance his abilities and increase his chances of survival.
With the help of his Blood Tracker passive skill, Ben soared through the night, seeking out potential blood sources. Not far from the gigantic creature, tens of more creatures were taking a nap. It didn't take a genius to guess that these herbivore creatures walked in a herd, and the one gigantic creature was the leader of this herd.
"Alright, time to increase some strength," Ben thought, rubbing his hands before he launched towards the other two beasts and took a sip from the two of them.

Ben grinned, looking at the notification, but now was not the time since there were at least ten more beasts he could consume blood from.

Ben's fear and unfamiliarity with this world were slowly turning into curiosity and excitement. It's been about a day since he came into this world, and he was at least strong enough to avoid most of the dangers in the insect kingdom.
His first thought when he incarnated in this world was how he was going to survive with such a fragile body and loads of quests. But with time, he could see a glimpse of light in his darkened world. Just maybe, if he cautiously follows all the quests and uses the full potential of his abilities, he can live a new life in this world.
"Level 5, huh? I'm getting the hang of this," Ben mused. His only regret in this world was not reincarnating in human form.
Only if there was a quest like that or the mysterious person from back then decides to help him again. But there was no use regretting what was done; he should already be thankful enough to have a chance to escape the null.
"System, show me the quest update," Ben asked, sitting inside a small hole in a tree. It wasn't exactly a safe place, but it will do the job.

A small smile decorated Ben's face when he saw the notification for primary evolution. According to the system, this was the way for him to become significantly stronger at once. And if he keeps growing like that, then he will be able to get a humanoid form.
"Hey system, I was just wondering; didn't you say that the evolution process was pretty much necessary? Then what is the NOT NOW option doing in there?" Ben asked, rubbing his mosquito temples.
[Since the evolution process is long and time-consuming and the host is vulnerable during the time of evolution, the system designed this program so that the host can find a good place for himself before he accepts the evolution.]
"Well, that makes sense since I can't go to evolve in the middle of a battle or something, or I will pretty much get killed." Ben was satisfied with the answer. He looked around him with blood-tracer skills to see if there were any living beings nearby who could pose a danger to him.
And fortunately, there were no threats around Ben at the moment. which means this hole inside the tree is the best place to proceed with his evolution. Without wasting any more seconds, Ben opened his notification screen and clicked on the Evolution notification.

Without hesitation, he selected "accept" and prepared himself for the upcoming transformation.
As he made his choice, the notification screen disappeared completely, leaving him in a state of confusion as if nothing was happening at all.
A few seconds passed, and a very frail hot sensation erupted in Ben's body. This feeling lasted for a few seconds, increasing his body temperature as if he were suffering from a fever. Slowly, he felt a tingling sensation, starting from his legs and slowly climbing up to his body.
At first, the sensation was kind of funny and reliving, but as time passed, the sensation intensified, as if thousands of needles were stabbing his body from all sides. The pain wasn't unbearable, but it still hurt him badly.
Ben gritted his teeth as he endured this sensation for a minute or so, but instead of the pain decreasing, it continued to intensify. Now his body was so hot that he could see water vapor emitting from it, and the sharp sensation kept increasing in his body as his jade-black outer skeleton started to crack.
Soon, a blinding light enveloped his entire being, obscuring his vision. The light was emitting inside the cracks in his exoskeleton. The world around him faded away, and the pain in his body was replaced by a comfortable, warm feeling as if his body were undergoing a rapid metamorphosis.
He could feel his limbs elongating, his wings growing larger and stronger, even his missing leg regenerated as if it had never been damaged, and his entire form became more streamlined and resilient.
When the light finally subsided, Ben emerged as a completely transformed creature. And a new notification popped in front of his eyes:
