Chapter 12: Fight for the right-

╔═╣Blood needle╠═╗

Just as Ben chanted this skill, tiny red particles of energy emerged out of his body, taking the shape of a crimson red needle, floating before his head, ready to be shot at any second he commands.

"Bangg!!" With a mosquito-level blast sound, the needle exploded with a recoil, with enough recoil force to disrupt his smooth flight, causing him to miss his aim and strike the spider back, piercing through its thick black skin.

[HP:4.5/5.0]

"I didn't take that possibility into consideration," Ben grunted. As he tried to balance his flight in the air, his mosquito senses tingled, alerting him to danger. Without a second thought, Ben's body automatically moved in a left direction, as if it were a complete reflex action.

"Bang": Before Ben could organize what happened just now, he saw a fast projectile of a green ball pass just inches next to him. With a burning sound, the green projectile hit the leaf behind Ben. In a matter of seconds, the leaf behind him started to release vapor before it caught fire.

Looking back at the creature, Ben realized the attack had come from the black spidr, who had successfully escaped from the daze effect.

"What kind of absurdly absurd ability is that? Is this some acid ball or something?" Ben shouted in shock; his crystal-red eyes almost popped out of his sockets while looking at the damage on the leaf.

"Bang-Bang-Bang"

Without giving him a chance to organize himself, the spider continued to throw a series of acid balls at Ben, who was barely dodging them with a gap of thread between them. As Ben continued to dodge two more acid balls, he observed closely his opponent's skills.

If the spider always had the ability to attack with an acid ball, then why didn't the spider attack him in the first encounter? If rightfully used, Ben could have been killed in the very first encounter with the espider, unless there is some serious drawback to the skill.

Ben continued to dodge a few more acid balls while he continued to observe his opponent's action, and soon a slight smile hit his face. There was only one possibility that the spider would not use the acid ball in the previous encounter, namely, that his green webs were not immune to the acid itself.

He closely observed that the spider only shoots his attack from the very edge of the spider net, where he could see a few webs burning due to the use of this attack. This further confirmed Ben's hypothesis.

The damage from the acid ball attack was greater in comparison to the damage from the blood needle attack; in other words, the slightest contact from the attack means instant death. And from how the spider was using this skill, it didn't seem like the spider had any drawbacks in casting multiple attacks, like HP draining from his blood needle. which means the only advantage he had was agility and timing.

With a quick plan in his head, Ben moved around the spider swiftly and cast a blood needle skill, fully prepared for recoil force. This time the needle hit directly the spider back. The spider tried to dodge the attack, but the attack was just too fast to be dodged by any creature.

"Schreeecchhhh!!" The spider screamed in pain, angry at the unknown foe. The spider started to prepare another green acid ball to attack. Particles of green light surrounded the spider to make a green ball; this one was bigger than the usual ones.

Looking at the spider preparing a big attack, Ben stopped flying around and directly felw towards it, preparing a blood needle beforehand. Just when the spider was about to launch the attack, Ben unleashed the mosquito buzz skill, and the spider froze in its place, giving Ben the perfect chance to attack.

Seizing the opportunity, Ben launched the blood needle attack, directly targeting the acid ball in Spidedr's mouth. As both of the attacks collapsed, a small boom sounded, spreading acid in every direction, even on Ben.

[HP: 3.2/5.0]

"Bang!"

With a blasting sound, the acid ball spread into a small acid shower, hitting the spider net around it. The acid did very little to the spider, but as soon as it connected with the net, his net started emitting. And before Spider could break off the daze, the net around him mealted, unable to support his weight.

"The bigger you are, the heavier you fall," Ben said, watching the black spider fall from the top of the pine tree. But contrary to his expectations, the spider released a last thread of spider silk from its back to stop his fall in the air.

"Not that easy, my boy," Ben said with cold expressions on his face, directly flying down towards the spider before he took a sharp turn at the last moment and prepared a blood needle skill while moving towards the spider thread.

With an air-piercing sound, the sharp needle of red aura hit the spider thread from close range, cutting it midway and sending the spider into a freefall.

"Ding!!"

[A mutant spider has been killed.]

[Please go near the spider's body and use the soul drain skill to gain exp.]

"Wow! So I killed a fist-size black mutant spider, and I feel nothing!" Ben said it in a mocking tone. He was surprised by his emotions himself; he knew he was going to change in this wilderness, but this fast was not expected.

"Hey system! Isn't there any other way for me to level up without killing other beings?" Ben asked, slowly descending through the air.

[No. Killing the enemy to obtain soul essence is the best way to survive.]

"As expected of a system, you can only think of greater benefit and minimal loss... Never mind, I am just dumb." Ben chuckled before he stood before the black mutant spider, which was now squashed flat on the ground.
