Chapter 101 - Mood Breaker
After taking a bath, Bryana wore red knee-length overalls with an accessory strap attached to the waist. She polished her face with light make-up, then pinned part of her hair back. The pregnant woman looked so elegant that her husband smiled happily at her.
"Beautiful." Dean smiled so warmly.
"You're handsome too, even though you have a bandage on your head." Bryana approached Dean who was leaning on the bed. the husband has finished doing the examination and is no longer using the oxygen tube because his condition is getting better. The man also looked fresher after wiping his body with warm water, then changed into a white patient's clothes.
dean smiled blushing because Bryana never got tired of complimenting his good looks. "Are you leaving now?" he asked.
"Yes, I'm hungry. I have to eat, then take nausea relievers," Bryana replied as she approached Dean. "But I want to carry out our rituals first."
dean nodded and smiled. Bryana looked down and kissed Dean's lips very softly. French Kiss like that they never miss at all even though currently the man's condition is sick.
Dean breathed a sigh of relief after the kiss passed. "Always sweet."
"Because it's good the day always starts with something sweet," Bryana said and then kissed Dean's cheek for a moment. "Em... what did the doctor say, there are restrictions regarding food for you?"
"Not too much. Just buy me a salad," said Dean.
"Okay, I'll buy a salad for you. I'll be back in 30 minutes, " Bryana replied with a cheerful face.
If Dean wasn't sick, maybe Bryana would have hugged and kissed many times.

Bryana straightened up again and looked up at the open door. she saw Raymond coming together with Kareen who brought a parcel filled with several kinds of fruit.
"Raymond," Bryana said.
Raymond walked in with Kareen following him. He approached Dean and Bryana with a look of pity. "How can this happened, Dean? Looks like your wound is pretty bad."
"I don't know, it happened so fast and unexpected." Dean smiled grimly and shrugged his shoulders.
Kareen gives a parcel of fruit to Bryana. "This is for you and Dean too. I heard that you are currently pregnant. Eating fruit, usually the favorite of women who are pregnant."
"Thank you," Bryana said with a stiff smile. She didn't want to look snappy at Kareen in front of Raymond, because she didn't want Raymond to be disappointed or angry with her. Like it or not, the woman accepted the secretary to be her future sister-in-law.
"Have you been to the office?" Bryana asked as he looked at Raymond, who was wearing black jeans combined with a black t-shirt and a light brown leather jacket.
"Not yet," Raymond short, then glanced at Kareen. "I'm going to the office with Kareen."
Bryana nodded in understanding, while Kareen walked closer to Dean's left side. "Are there any serious injuries besides your head, Dean?" She asked.
"No. I just need to undergo some therapy to heal the injuries to my back and legs," explained Dean casually.
"I didn't think that this day would be an As for you. As long as you are a bodyguard, you are very tough and have never been hurt this badly," Kareen said angrily.
Bryana angrily glanced at Kareen who said as if Dean was having bad luck because he was no longer a bodyguard. it means Kareen is teasing her for attracting Dean into her life as a husband.
"A person will not always be safe and avoid calamities. Likewise I. maybe now it's my bad luck, but I'm grateful to still be able to survive and see my wife again, " said Dean while touching Bryana's hand as if gesturing not to be angry at Kareen's words.
Raymond looks at Kareen. "That was the risk that Dean had to accept when he became Bryana's husband. Because from the beginning our family was always the target of bad people," he said with a flat gaze.
Kareen nodded in understanding and patted Raymond on the shoulder. "Ah, yes. it's also a risk that I have to take when I get in relationships w too."
"Are you going to get married?" Bryana asked curtly.
"One day," Raymond replied and then hugged Kareen from the side. "After making sure everything is safe again, I will focus on our relationship."
"Yes, it's up to you, I can't argue with it," Bryana exclaimed and then got up from the chair, releasing Dean's hand. "I have to go out for a bit to buy some food."
"Be careful, honey," said Dean.
Bryana nodded and immediately walked towards the sofa. She took her little bag, then walked out of the room without saying goodbye to Kareen or Raymond. Because Kareen's presence always makes her in a bad mood.
Kareen glanced at Dean who was so caring and affectionate with Bryana. jealousy and resentment arose in her heart. 'You idiot, you shouldn't treat Bryana like that. She's even the beginning of all the trouble you get. She's a burden to you, even you are hurt because of her. I will not remain silent, you will be mine! forget the joy of being with that damn Bryana and the baby in her womb! '
"Kareen," Raymond called.
Kareen who was daydreaming gasped. "Eh yes, why?"
"Let's go to the office," said Raymond.
Kareen glanced at Dean who would be alone if she and were going to the office. it was the best time to sway Dean in Bryana's absence.
"Uh, you better go ahead. I'll catch up when Bryana comes back and can take care of Dean. I can't bear to leave Dean alone," Kareen said sadly.
"Go on, I'm fine here alone. Anyway, Bryana's just a minute," Dean exclaimed.
"But, Dean ... What if something happens to you, or you need something?" Kareen even got closer to standing near Dean.
Raymond silently glanced at Kareen who was paying more attention to Dean, while Dean felt bad for Raymond.
"Em, you don't need to worry, my mom won. You just Go to work, Monica will need your help," said Dean with a reassuring look.
"Kareen, Dean is right. Monica will be a very inconvenience in replacing Dean's position if you as a secretary just skip it," exclaimed Raymond with a frown.
"Raymond, Dean is my friend. I'm like this because I care about him," said Kareen who was still overreacting to Dean.

the door to the room opened. Lily came with Calvin and Sofia, who purposely missed school because they wanted to accompany Dean to the hospital. Yes, at least their presence would leave Kareen with no reason to approach Dean while Bryana wasn't around.
"Dad ...."Sofia rushed over to Dean. Likewise, Calvin, who came to his step-father.
"You don't go to school?" Dean smiled glancing at the kids.
"We can't go to school if we haven't visited you, Dad." Sofia glanced pityingly at her father who looked so weak.
"Uncle Raymond," Calvin called out, looking up at Raymond.
"Yes, dear, why?" Raymond asked, looking down at Calvin.
"Uncle has to catch the criminal that daddy Dean snapped off the stairs," Calvin exclaimed innocently.
"Yes, of course. Uncle came for that. everything will be fine as long as you and Sofia keep your parents' advice, " Raymond replied with a smile looking at Calvin.
Kareen let out a rough breath.. she glanced at the atmosphere that was no longer lonely, it made her annoyed, and wanted to go to the office or think of other plans for Dean and Bryana.
