Chapter 263 - Unsettling
The next day...
Fin watched Bryana from a distance, to be precise using a small pair of binoculars from inside his car. He saw the woman just got out of the car holding the baby, then walked with her husband into the house.
"So, she has a baby?" Fin confirmed while glancing at Lucas who was sitting in the driver's seat.
"Yeah, she gave birth after an accident with your father," Lucas replied then looked around. "We'd better get out of here as soon as Bryana's husband is a bodyguard, even the house is guarded by several bodyguards."
"Her husband is a former Bodyguard? Does that mean he's not rich?" asked Fin with a sinister smile.
"Yes, he is the husband of your late sister, Clarissa," Lucas replied.
Fin nodded in understanding because Lucas had told him a lot about Gustave and his family. "So the man married her after my sister died. He switched to a luxurious life from my sister's cousin."
"He doesn't know anything, Fin. They are together because of love and you can't separate them. Find another woman for you to be your wife, not Bryana who has a husband, even has a baby. That's very unattractive!" Lucas reminded with a look of disapproval. he couldn't understand why the man beside him didn't continue his late father's revenge, even liked the daughter of his father's enemy.
"But he is very attractive, even accepting a husband who is only a bodyguard. looks like I have to come with all my humility to get his attention." Fin looked in the rearview mirror and brushed his hair. "I don't think I'm any less handsome than her husband."

Fin looked at Lucas who was only thinking of a plan to take someone down. "Alex isn't important because all I want is Bryana. Don't think about a grudge and treasure all the time. What my father has given me is more than enough, and I will get Bryana by making her hate her husband first!"

Bryana and Dean enter their house, but when they reach the living room, they stop when they see a guest they never wanted. They are Alex and Elsa with their son who may not be able to walk yet.
"Why are you here?" Bryana asked disapprovingly.
"I want to meet Calvin," Alex replied with a sad look. Yes, seeing Bryana happy with Dean, made him feel jealous, and couldn't stop regretting hurting her for Elsa's sake.
"Sorry, Alex. Calvin is on vacation in London. next time you can meet him when you get home," explained Dean.
"That's not necessary if the goal is just to seduce Calvin into willing to stay with him!" Bryana said curtly.
"Bryana. Alex is his real father, he has the right to meet Calvin. I know our past has hurt you, but you can't deny that Calvin is Alex's biological son. They deserve to meet each other to express their longing." This time it was Elsa who spoke in good faith.
"Calvin never missed him!" Bryan confirmed.
"But he must still think of Alex as a biological father. And don't think we want to meet Calvin for a seditious intent or whatever, we want to meet because he is part of us too," explained Elsa. I don't know what angel possessed her to make her act so good.
Alex sighed, then stood up, looking at Bryana in disappointment. "I know I've hurt you, and my mistakes will be unforgivable. I just want to pay attention to Calvin as my son. I am no longer interested in your wealth because as a father I should give, not take away what is rightfully his."
"Don't play it, Alex. A greedy, lying man like you doesn't deserve to be trusted!" Bryana exclaimed curtly, then walked into the room without waiting for a response from Alex or Elsa while Dean was still in the living room.
"Sorry, Alex. If your intentions are really good, you should show that. come while Calvin is at home, but if you do things, I can't tolerate it anymore," Dean said with a flat look. He didn't want to prevent Calvin and Alex from seeing each other, because he knew that not being able to meet a child would be painful.
"Okay then, we're leaving now," said Alex then immediately invited Elsa and her child to leave the ex-wife's house.
Dean sighed, feeling stuffy because he just felt he had succeeded in making Bryana happy, even though she was already annoyed by Alex's arrival. he walked towards Aidyn's room through the living room and was stopped by his mother who was holding his little son. Maybe Bryana went to the room and left the baby with his grandmother.
"What's the matter, Dean? Why does Bryana look so angry?" Lily asked looking up at Dean.
"She doesn't like Alex coming," Dean replied. "I have to catch up with her and calm her down, Mom."
"Yes, let me take care of Aidyn."
Dean looked at Aidyn who would be a victim if Bryana was unstable. The baby will be neglected or even cranky. he kissed the baby for a moment then walked towards the stairs that led to the top floor.

In the room, Bryana sat back on the sofa while massaging her temples because she felt dizzy. The worry that Calvin would become a bone of contention hit her mind again. yes, it's natural to feel anxious because she can't believe her ex-husband will be nice to her, she's worried that her son will get a bad influence from her ex-husband's bad attitude.
"Honey," Dean called as he approached Bryana.
"You shouldn't have been nice to him with letting him see Calvin!" Bryana exclaimed curtly, refusing to even look at Dean's face.
Dean sighed, then sat down next to Bryana. "I don't have the authority to forbid a father from meeting his biological son. Alex certainly has a genuine longing for Calvin, not seeing him just to persuade him, to provoke him... Every man no matter how hard it is must-have love."
"But he's a cruel man!" Bryan confirmed. the memory of when Alex stabbed her seemed to be a reminder to her that Alex was a man who didn't deserve a chance.
"Who knows he will change. You see, he looks very different. Usually, he acts arrogant, pushy, but not at all." Dean remembers.
"It must be just a play, just like when we first met, he looks so humble and kind. Elsa is like that," said Bryana, glancing at Dean curtly.
"Honey, everyone can change," Dean said then touched Bryana's right hand and held it. "Don't think about this too much to get dizzy, everything will be fine because if he comes to see Calvin, I'll be the overseer. I'll make sure he doesn't provoke or persuade Calvin to stay with him."
"It's so hard to calm down. anyways, why did he suddenly appear after such a long absence? How weird!" Bryana was still annoyed and remembered that Alex was looking thinner and uglier too. "He looked bad too. Like it's been neglected for a long time."
