Chapter 340 - About Feeling

Vania entered the apartment together with Carlos and Max who brought a suitcase containing a dress that she would wear tomorrow morning to carry out her wedding with Carlos. The girl looked limp and pale after a long day looking for the right dress for her. All the dresses seemed to suit her but her future husband was always unsure and asked her to choose another dress.

"Vania ... I want to talk to you in private," Carlos said with a flat look. Currently, he is still in the living room while Vania will enter the room.

"But I want to rest, my waist hurts, my legs are sore," said Vania with an uncomfortable look.

"Okay, let's talk in the room." Carlos continued to walk ahead of Vania towards the room while Max immediately approached Vania before following Carlos.

"Be patient so he loves you more than that chatty Elsa!" Max whispered.

"I just need to be myself to be loved by him. I don't want to be trapped in a play. If he can't accept me or love me as a wife, I can't force him," said Vania then walked into the room.

Arriving in the room, Vania looked at Carlos, who was lying on the bed, leaning his body against a pile of pillows. The man looked at her with a gaze so cold as he lit a cigarette. He looks like an asshole about to intimidate his target.

"Come here," Carlos called out, slapping his hand on his thigh.

Vania slowly approached by lowering her face as if afraid of Carlos' gaze. 'Oh my God. May there be no more anger today, may he not scold me or torture me until I lose my future child,' she thought in fear.

"Come here, I'm not going to do anything," said Carlos casually. "Be casual like the first time you teased me when you always spoiled me. Seeing you like this, I don't seem to think of you as Vania who has been my satisfaction for several months," he continued.

Vania nodded and immediately sat on Carlos' lap sideways. She glanced at Carlos who was smoking even blowing smoke at her. "Your smoke can harm the health of our future child."

"Oh sorry, I didn't know." Carlos immediately put out the cigarette and placed it on an ashtray that was available on the long side of the table. He turned to look at Vania so closely then wrapped his arms around her waist. "I want to know why you can love me when I'm an asshole. Some women hate me and don't even want me to be near."

"I don't know ... I think I love you since we always live together and spend our nights in this room," said Vania, bending her face, playing with her fingers.

"Is that so? You love me not because I have everything," Carlos confirmed.

"At first I was comfortable around you because you have everything, you can meet my needs because I don't have anything. I only have my face to make money, to continue my life even though it feels dark and must be considered low by people," explained Vania, then glanced at Carlos.

"I know you're an asshole. Maybe I'm not the only one you've ever had sex with. I'm guilty, I shouldn't be like this... not using my feelings when playing with you. Now I've messed up your marriage relationship with Elsa... sorry, ' she continued regretfully.

Carlos was silent remembering Elsa who might still be haunted by her relationship with Alex, it means that Elsa doesn't sincerely love her like Vania or maybe Vania is still in the shadow of other men too. He also began to doubt the two women who were carrying their child.

"Have you ever had a boyfriend or a man who loves you and you love him too?" Carlos asked.

Vania shook her head. "No one wants to be close to me because I'm just a girl who doesn't have a clear origin. Men will think twice about approaching me, having a relationship with me seriously, I'm just being toyed with," she said.

"There's no way you've never loved a man other than me," Carlos muttered with a cynical smile.

"I was always in a circle of people who were facilitated by the state. Since childhood, I was restrained and only lived to learn, to study without knowing freedom. I was bored and decided to run away from the orphanage where I lived, I was trapped in promiscuity until finally I desperate to sell themselves to survive," said Vania, bending her face.

"Who made love to you first?" asked Carlos with a probing look.

"My friend," said Vania, then turned to look at Carlos. "Why are you asking this kind of thing?" She asked.

"Because I want to make sure you have another man in your heart," Carlos replied.

"My life feels memorable when I know you. I don't keep another man in my heart beside you," Vania muttered with her head down still playing with her fingers. "But you have many women in your life. I won't mind that. The important thing is that you marry me and acknowledge this child."

Carlos sighed, then pulled Vania to lean on his shoulder. The man was silent as if he was judging who he deserved to love. Elsa or Vania...

Elsewhere, Bryana had just returned to the villa. She felt tired after traveling almost an hour from the hospital to the villa. She went straight to the upstairs room while Aidyn was taken care of by Dinda in the room available downstairs. The woman threw her body on the bed in a prone position and still wore her branded bag which she always carried.

Drettt... Drettt...

Bryana rolled over to change her position to her back then reached into her bag to reach for the phone that was still ringing. She saw an incoming call from Dean.

"Hello," said Bryana when she was connected to Dean.

"Honey, I think I'll be working late and just go home. I'm so tired and not sure I'll be able to get there," Dean said over the phone.

"What?" Immediately Brian sat down. "You're not coming to the villa? You're going to leave me here alone?"

"Honey ... There are Dany, Dinda, Aidyn, and the villa keeper. Tomorrow afternoon I will come and stay."

"You made me sleep alone when you know I don't like that." Bryana groaned at the thought that the night would be lonely without Dean. She even threw pillows on the floor.

"Oh my God. I'm like this too because of a job I can't just leave. Please understand."

"And I can't understand! You are the CEO, you have the right to decide whether you will work overtime or not, it's all up to you and no one will dare to punish you. Or maybe you're like this because you're getting lazy to always be around me!"

"Honey, don't say that. I can't go a day without you, but I'm afraid that if I work late and come home too late and go on a long trip I'll be sleepy and something bad will happen on the way." Dean tried to persuade.

Bryan doesn't care. "You have too many excuses!"

"Honey this is not an excuse but...."

Bryana hung up the phone before Dean finished speaking. She threw her phone in any direction and lay back down again. The woman was tired and even annoyed, of course, the mood would worsen instantly and feel awry when she was about to do anything.
