“Wait, could it be that this was what Shiming was after? That person's name was Yang Su, right? He was the one that beat brother Shiming in the Freshmen Disciple Competition and it looks like brother Shiming wants a rematch by all means.”

The disciples discussed among themselves and anticipation started to permeate the training ground venue. One reason was in fact because they were still completely frustrated that they had lost all of their matches.

When they saw Guiren, a little bit of hope sparked to release their pent-up anger, but it only built up because of Shiming's shameless act. Renxiang came next and they once again became excited, however, with this development, and the fact that Yang Su was known to have defeated Shiming before, they were suddenly glad that he had entered their Sword Pavilion.

As Yang Su looked to Xi Shen to see him nod, Yang Su leaped onto the stage while the cheers of the Sword Pavilion disciples were directed to him.

To tell the truth, Yang Su had become quite well known among the Inner Disciples as one who won the Freshmen Disciple Competition. Adding the fact of news of his breakthrough into the Sea Expansion Realm, which was found out because he was allowed to enter the fourth floor of the Techniques Library, his admirers began to grow in number.

Shiming sneered in his heart at the crowd's cheers.

‘He’s nothing more than a worthless commoner.’

Thinking about the severe beating he got from Yang Su, a bit of his hatred slip past his calm facade as he glared at Ying Su.

Shiming’s hand rested on his saber hilt to his side, but seeing Yang Su without a weapon he said, “Draw your weapon.”

Hearing that, Yang Su thought for a moment before he smiled and flipped over his palm. A familiar black metal-looking pole appeared in his hand.

Seeing the metal pole, Shiming almost coughed out blood.

This was exactly like what happened previously, him saying Yan Su should take out his weapon, but Xi Shen had given him a pole.

However, Shiming's eyes turned cold. It won’t go as before, he had trained arduously within the last weeks and entered the Sea Expansion Realm.

Shiming’s left thumb pushed his saber from its sheath to reveal a silver glint. He then said, “Ming Shiming of the Blade Pavilion. I entered the Sea Expansion Realm after opening 94 of my meridians. I will be known as the number one Invincible Sea Expansion Realm in my generation. This will go on for the remainder of my life with no one able to match me in the same realm.”

Hearing Shiming's boastful and arrogant words made the crowd to devolve into an uproar.

“Wh-what?!! Brother Shiming actually opened 94 meridians?!!"

"No way, didn’t the Crown Prince open 93 of his meridians? Does this mean brother Shiming’s talent has surpassed the Crown Prince’s?”

“How could that be? Among the Three Peaks, the Crown Prince is known to be ahead of them in strength and talent. If that’s right then brother Shiming could really go undefeated throughout his cultivation, that’s what an Invincible Sea Expansion Realm cultivator entails.”

Yang Su on the other hand was expressionless when he heard Shiming’s words.

In another generation, Shiming could have likely gained such a reputation, but he had been born into the wrong one. Not just Yang Su, even some outstanding disciples in the dark, among the Chosens that didn’t show their face, had the potential of being called an Invincible Sea Expansion Realm or Foundation Realm Cultivator in any past given generation. During this generation, there was a noticeable boom in talents across the Maple Continent, and even on their neighbor, the Star Bound Continent.

This will ultimately lead to intense competition for the position of being called the top talent in this generation.

But unlike Shiming, Yang Su wasn’t arrogant and wasn’t one to try to argue who was more talented. He really didn’t see the point in something like that. That could be because of confidence that came from his Dao Foundation or just his personality, one or both could be the cause.

Shiming slowly drew his left leg back and he tilted his body forwards. His right hand then swiftly pulled out his saber all the way as his figure suddenly vanish from view.

He appeared in front of Yang Su, his saber’s point heading for his chest.

Yang Su calmly parried the blade with the metal pole, but while Shiming’s saber clashed against it, a horrendous wave of Fire Qi erupted from his hands to coat his saber.

*Crack* *Crack*

The metal pole could stand the high temperature it had just been exposed to and a fissure appeared on its body.

Yang Su was taken aback since Shiming’s blade had only been against the metal pole for a split second. For his Fire Qi to do this much damage to the metal pole Xi Shen had created for him in that time, it must be extremely pure and potent with the Fire Element Laws.

Shiming didn’t let up and his hips twisted, the saber in his hand confidently slashed out.

Yang Su raised the metal pole to block, and with a loud bang, the metal pole shattered into bits and pieces.

Yang Su stumbled back, and Shiming smiled viciously at the metal pole’s destruction.

Shiming coated his saber with his Fire Qi and slash at Yang Su once again, not caring he didn’t have a weapon. It was his fault for thinking that the metal pole would work like last time.

However, as Shiming was in the process of taking advantage of Yang Su getting caught off guard, a furious roar echoed over the training ground venue.

“All of you from the Ming Clan are shameless bastards!!”

A blood-red arc then shot across the sky and appeared behind Shiming in a matter of seconds.

Shiming felt a chill go down his spine and all of the hairs on his back stood on end.

‘Don’t block it, dodge!’

Shiming's instincts screamed in his head, and his body almost resemble a pretzel as he twisted his body out of the way of the Saber Qi.

Shiming retreated back after dodging the attack. His gaze landed on where he was to see that the Saber Qi had split open the stage, that was supposed to be able to withstand Foundation Realm Cultivators battling.

Shiming almost had his soul left his body from thinking what would become of him if he hadn’t dodged and instead tried to block.

His and everyone else’s dumbfounded gaze then traveled to the direction where that Saber Qi had appeared from.

The image of a frail-looking youth stepping on air over the crowd's heads appeared in their sights.

“Who’s that?! How can he walk in mid-air? Isn’t he given off the aura of a Sea Expansion Realm expert, can someone actually fly while being in the Sea Expansion Realm?!”

Yang Su looked at this newcomer curiously.

“No! That’s the Heavenly Stride Movement Technique from the Blade Pavilion. It’s a Gold-grade movement technique in the High-Class that allows one to walk in the air using Spiritual Qi as stepping stones. Amazing, was there someone able to use this movement technique in the Sea Expansion Realm? How come I never heard of such a person in the Blade Pavilion?”

"And did you feel the power of his Blade Qi as it passed overhead? It was completely terrifying, it even slice through the stage that’s supposed to be strong enough to withstand Foundation Realm experts' attacks!!”

Everyone watched as the frail-looking youth moved at high speeds in the air before landing on the stage.

His eyes shot a vicious glare towards Shiming and took a step forward, but suddenly paused when he saw the four other Ming Academy disciples appear next to him.

“Fucking bastards from the Ming Clan, you’ll have to answer to my saber for your shameless actions. You! You're the one who interrupted my seclusion to demand I join the Ming Clan Faction on the Blade Pavilion, right?! It was you then you fucker, I’ll make you regret what you did you bastard!”

Everyone was staring stunned by this youth’s words.

Who was this person?

Everyone had puzzled expressions and they didn’t know what was going on.

Shiming looked at this frail-looking youth with a solemn expression. He didn’t know why he was here or why he was showing so much anger towards him but it didn’t look like anything good was about to come of it.

“Mu Fan, what the hell are you talking about? You came here attacking me for no reason and cursing my Ming Clan, how can you behave like that when we should you nothing but sincerity!”

“Sincerity? Sincerity?!! Pressuring my family so that I would join your faction is you showing sincerity?!! Motherfucker how about I reply to your sincerity by lopping off of your head?!!”

Mu Fan pointed at Shiming and his group with widen-eyes before he moved towards them again, but upon counting the number of people surrounding Shiming, he frowned and paused.

“Bastards, there’s too many of you! One of you step up and face me, what are you all doing clustering together, huh?!!”

The crowd looked on at this strange scene with perplexed expressions. This person named Mu Fan was actually threatening to cut off Shiming’s head. He looked and sounded completely crazy!

“Wait! Mu Fan? Isn’t Mu Fan the real name of the Blade Pavilion’s notorious Blade Demon?!!”

The disciple who said that looked at Mu Fan horrified at his sudden realization.

“That’s right oh my god, it’s Lunatic Blade Demon Mu Fan!! What is he doing out of seclusion and on our Sword Pavilion?! This crazy person shouldn’t be left unsupervised, no wonder someone like him dares to threaten to kill a Ming Clan member like Shiming, he’s completely mental!”

Looks of horror appeared on the Sword Pavilion Disciple's faces as they remembered the reputation of the Lunatic Mu Fan. He got his reputation because of his crazy and reckless personality.

There were even some rumors that said it was because he was spending so much time training his Blade Skills that he was driven mad by it.
