Back in the God Era, at its beginning, there was said to be a remarkable man. His name was long lost to time, but the achievements and prowess he displayed were never forgotten and were the stuff of legends.

Of all the Six Basic Laws, the Laws of Fire, the Laws of Metal, the Laws of Wind, the Laws of Earth, the Laws of Water, and the Laws of Wood, the last one to gain an Heir was the Laws of Earth.

During that period of time in the God Domain, with nearly all of the six easiest Laws to comprehend gaining an Heir, the cultivators had become desperate.

All of them rush to become the sole Heir to the Laws of Earth as fast as they could. Spending hundreds of years in meditation. However, at a certain point, they realized just comprehending the Earth Laws and hoping to be the faster one to become the Heir wasn’t enough. So as one cultivator began building his army and influence across the God Domain in order to murder all of his competitors, so did the others, until a war that span the entire God Domain was created.

The First Immemorial War.

This was the name given to that era of non-stop battles and chaos. Battles that destroyed planet after planet occurred. Even entire solar systems had become wastelands as the cultivators' armies clashed.

Each cultivator had occupied a part of the God Domain and would use the mortal inhabitants to form their armies.

Dozens, hundreds, thousands of years this war had lasted. And in all that time the blind heavens paid no heed to the Domain's self-destruction. For all can be rebuilt from its ashes after its Heir to the Laws of Earth is chosen.

With the end of this war showing no signs of coming to an end, the mortals despaired. The Gods they worshiped and pray to were the ones causing their misery.

That was when one man on a certain planet received the heaven's blessings to cultivate its Heavenly Laws.

Sensing another competitor who would eventually join the fray, all the cultivators' eyes shifted to this small inconspicuous planet, wanting to nip this newcomer in the bud.

The war was at its climax at this point and the cultivators wilted down to only six, who were all vying for the title of Heir to the Earth Law.

When the armies of the six cultivators converge on this small planet ready to obliterate it, a voice echoed out issuing a challenge to the six cultivators, a combat to determine the true Heir. No armies and outside help, a duel with purely their Laws Comprehended.

Proud these cultivators were.

Confident they were as well that they were the one and only true Heir.

They accepted.

The first cultivator appeared above the planet, shrinking down to a miniature giant as he went forward.

Ten days later, his headless corpse floated from the planet.

"Next."

The voice echoed into the ears of the stunned armies and the remaining five cultivators.

The second.

The third.

The fourth.

The fifth.

All within ten days their decapitated heads, which seemed to be ripped from their bodies by brute force, floated out for all to see.

“Next.”

The sixth and last cultivator was cautious as he shrunk down from his humongous size and went forward.

On the planet, the lone figure of a young boy was found by the sixth cultivator.

He was shocked.

This boy hadn’t been a cultivator for more than ten years, but had killed the other five who were cultivators for several millennia!

They fought, their battle was intense. Despite having only cultivated for less than ten years, this boy who was no more than nineteen was wielding Earth Laws that clashed equally against his own.

Seas were drained, and the earth split and cracked open.

But something was amidst.

Despite their devastating battle, this planet was still intact, the cracks would heal on their own. The massive craters that led to its core reverted, to normal as if the attack was only imaginary.

The sixth cultivator was puzzled, but on the tenth day, something happen.

Beneath the boy’s feet, the energy of the world was entering his body. No, not only this world, all the other worlds in this solar system, in this galaxy, were entering this child!

It was then that the sixth cultivator realized this boy’s feet had never left the ground, not even once during their battle.

He had somehow connected the Earth laws produced by the worlds in this galaxy and used this planet as a focal point to draw from its power!

This… was all a trap!

Not just a trap for these mighty cultivators, but a huge one that scaled an entire galaxy!

Escape.

The sixth cultivator could not battle against the power of so many worlds at his level, this level of power was close to what a Domain Existence could use!

The cultivators of the God Era were separated into Planetary Existence, Solar Existence, Galaxy Existence, and becoming an Heir to a Heavenly Law, one would gain the strength of a Domain Existence or rather, a God.

But this sixth cultivator was only a Galaxy Existence, the power this boy was wielding was the peak of the Galaxy Realm almost a step away from reaching the Realm of the Gods!

He wanted to escape, but the pressure of an entire galaxy weight him down. He tried to enlarge so he could destroy this planet and this boy, but his Heavenly Physique was suppressed!

“You dare trick me!! You aren’t worthy of being the Heir!! Without this planet you are weak!!!”

Were the words that echoed from that planet and were recorded into the history books.

“After becoming a Galaxy Existence I no longer need to use this method, just being near a planet will allow me to draw on its power and Will.”

“….??!!!”

In one swift motion, the boy moved with the power of the worlds behind him, and like a barbaric animal, he brutally ripped off the sixth cultivator’s head and leaving his corpse to float among the stars with the other five cultivators.

That reply was also recorded in the history books.

And like that, the First Immemorial War came to a grinding halt.

Years passed and the birth of a cultivator was known to all, but by that time the boy had already become a Galaxy Existence, and staying true to his word no one was his match while using Earth Laws.

All who come after him conceded the fact that the Heir to the Earth Law was already taken, so they moved on to another Law.

The technique created by this youth would become known as the Power of Worlds.

Xi Shen wasn’t just enjoying his time without shoes, he had been earnestly communicating with the world beneath his feet and the world around him.

Even though he was nowhere near close to using the power depicted in the scrolls he read of the Earth God in his infancy, he was still able to draw on a portion of the earth beneath his feet as he attacked.

‘That Earth God could be considered a once in a lifetime genius. His affinity with the Earth Law and his talents in the Law Comprehension System was unmatched by any other Gods. The old or the new. None of them had come close to wielding power similar to his at his age. He was a product of a theory I came up with in my past life, a culmination of all the millennia energy in an epoch. He was an Epoch Pivoter. Someone who appears at the end of every Epoch to usher in a new era. Someone who was chosen by the heavens to be blessed with talents beyond the norm. He was the first person of such phenomenon and the second…’

Reaching here in his thoughts, the image of a six petal plum blossom appeared in Xi Shen’s mind but he immediately shrugged it off.

Using the Power of the World, he approached the burly man once again and sent out his fist in a horse stance, with his bare feet firmly planted on the ground.

A noticeable force moved from the earth beneath his feet and traveled through his body to his fist before slamming into the burly man’s chest, putting a dent in his sternum.

The burly man felt like the force of a falling meteor had condensed into a single point and impacted his chest.

His organs shook, and he coughed out a mouth full of blood as he flew back, crashing hard into the cavern wall that shook violently. As of now, it felt as if his internal organs were on the verge of shutting down. The Demonic Qi he had gathered around his body for protection did jackshit before being obliterated under Xi Shen’s fist immense force.

Xi Shen cut off the flow of power beneath his feet, after which he sensed a feeling of fatigue wash over him.

‘I can’t use it without repercussions, but just being able to even use 0.000000000000001% of this power shows my immense talent.’

Xi Shen thought rather boastfully.

The way the Power of the World worked is by using one’s Heavenly Physique to connect one’s self with the world and let it act as a bridge to use its immense power.

Of course, comprehension of the Earth Laws was required and a developed Heavenly Physique was needed as well. Xi Shen was limited to its usage since he lack those two requirements.

He also couldn’t use it anytime he felt like it since that would take a toll on his body.

Walking up to the burly man who was slumped against the wall, Xi Shen conjured a large Sword Qi and have it hover over the man’s head.

Struggling, the burly man looked up to Xi Shen and said, “Yo-you inhuman brat… to think you cultivated such a weird Fleshly Body Technique as well. Being powerful at both long-range and close combat, and battling Core Formation cultivators despite being in the Sea Expansion Realm, how terrifying. Where did such a broken person come from in the Righteous Faction, and how come you gone unnoticed until now? *Cough* *Cough*”

The burly man coughed out a mouth full of blood and pieces of his internal organs. The attacks Xi Shen dealt to him weren’t ordinary, some strange force was entering his body and wreaking havoc once inside.

Having taken several of them head on and then the last one directly to his chest, that inexplicable force completely destroyed his insides. Even for a Core Formation Realm cultivator, having their organs damaged or destroyed, especially their heart, would die.

To survive all of that one would have to be a Nascent Realm expert. Even when the body is obliterated into pieces, their Soul Body could still escape. They could then either find someone suitable to possess, or reconstruct another body using several unique methods and resources.

Hearing the burly man’s words, Xi Shen said in his distorted voice, “As I said before, I’m the Faceless Hero. Be honored as you die, you're my first stepping stone on the start of my journey to gain the position of the number one genius of the Maple Continent.”
