After saying that Xi Shen closed his eyes and used his telepathic link to speak with Tai and Little Snow.
‘Tai, Little Snow, I need you to return.’

‘I know, but something has come up so I need you guys to return.’
‘Okay.’
‘Fine.’
Xi Shen reopened his eyes and looked to Ye Fei, “They’ll be here in a minute.”
“Hmm, that’s interesting, does disciple Shen have a mental connection with them?” Ye Fei asked curiously.
“Yes, I do.”
“That’s really fascinating. There has never been someone who had tame a Void Beast before, so nothing is known about them, neither how their abilities work, nor how they cultivate. I wonder how disciple Xi Shen managed to tame them?”
After Ye Fei asked that, he saw that Xi Shen remained silent.
“Ah, I’m being too greedy, that’s my bad. I’m not in the position to be asking these questions. I won’t ask anything further about them and stick to just receiving their help.”
With that, the two remain in silence for a minute or two.
Suddenly, Ye Fei said, “You know the Academy should start to take into account your pet's abilities. There are restricted areas in the Academy that shouldn’t be accessed by disciples without being approved by the Academy.”
Ye Fei frowned as he said that.
Hearing that, Xi Shen remembered Tai had discovered a Celestial Treasure underneath the academy. That was likely a restricted area that even disciples weren’t supposed to enter.
Xi Shen chuckled awkwardly in his heart before saying out loud, “Ahh, I’ll tell them not to enter those areas.”
Ye Fei was about to speak again, but a chubby Tai suddenly appeared on the table causing him to be taken aback a bit.
“Oh my, such spatial manipulation, I didn’t even sense any fluctuations in space. Simply magnificent.”
Ye Fei’s eyes roamed around Tai and marveled.
Tai's chest was puffed out and he had a smug look in his eyes.
“Does it mean this one is willing to help me?”
Ye Fei raised his head from Tai to look at Xi Shen, but Tai suddenly meowed.
This caused a strange expression to appear on Xi Shen’s face, and he looked at Tai before saying, “Aren’t you being too greedy?”
“Meow.”
While he meowed Tai showed off the mannerisms of a human, as he lifted one of his paws and seemed to shrug his shoulders.
Ye Fei looked at this exchange not understanding anything, so he looked to Xi Shen.
Xi Shen sigh a little before he looked at Ye Fei and said, “He’s willing to agree to help you but he wants compensation in the form of Spirit Wine.”
“Oh.” Ye Fei said a bit taken aback.
Looking down at Tai, he smiled and said, “Well, that won’t be a problem.”
“Meow.” -Great-
Tai said with a satisfied look on his face before he wiggled his chubby paw towards the untouched Tea cup in front of Ye Fei.
Suddenly, steam started to rise from it even though it had long gone lukewarm, and a fragrant aroma could be smelt.
Ye Fei’s heart shook.
Reaching for the tea cup, he took it up and place it to his lips before took a sip.
As soon as it entered his mouth a burst of flavor batted against his senses, and his heart started to beat uncontrollably.
‘This-this is simply shocking! I have tried and tried over and over again to reach this realm of creating illusions but I failed at every turn. However, this cat in front of me did it with such ease that it looked like it took no effort whatsoever. If I could study this I might really be able to grasp the epiphany I need to break through my bottleneck!’
Ye Fei’s eyes began to shine intensely as he stared at Tai.
“Meow.”
Tai suddenly meowed and he waved his paw once more, this time illusory characters appeared in front of Ye Fei. He was communicating with him using this method.
Reading the words in front of him, Ye Fei realized it was an exchange rate between Tai’s services and his needs.
Tai was willing to create items using his ability so Ye Fei could study them. Depending on the size of the item Ye Fei wish to create as well as the difficulty of it, it would require a certain amount of Spirit Wine.
After he finish reading, Ye Fei nodded and said, “It’s a deal.”
Hearing that, Tai nodded before he turn and leaped off the table to the ground. However, before he landed, his figure began to glow and his body transformed into a chubby-looking youth around ten.
Ye Fei was extremely taken aback by Tai's sudden transformation.
Using his chubby fingers to smooth his golden robes Tai opened his mouth and said to a dumbfounded Ye Fei, “I’ll be in your care strange mister. Hey, can you give me some wine up front?”
Tai licked his lips as he said that, and Ye Fei suddenly felt rather strange at this situation.
Xi Shen who was watching on silently wasn’t going to interfere with Tai’s business. As for his transformation, Xi Shen had known about it, though he absolutely loath it. Because if you think about the certain habits your pet cat has, and then place a human perspective on it you’ll come to realize they aren’t so cute.
However, at times like these Xi Shen just separated cat Tai from humanoid Tai to avoid being grossed out.
As if he remembered something, Xi Shen turned to Ye Fei and said, “Vice Headmaster, I have a request. Is it possible to allow someone I have in mind to enter the Inner Academy and become a Sword Pavilion member?”
“Done. Just have him report to the Sword Pavilion’s Administrative Hall in the Inner Academy to finish the process.”
Xi Shen nodded, and he stood up before saying, “If that's all, I’ll leave Vice Headmaster now.”
Xi Shen then turned to Tai and said, “Don’t cause any mischief while your here.”
Tai’s chubby face scrunched up into an annoyed expression when he heard that.
Xi Shen smiled and patted his head before he turn and left.
He was sure if anything happened Tai would be able to handle himself, and this was as much of an opportunity for him as it was for Ye Fei.
Xi Shen suddenly looked back at the mountain he was on from a distance.
‘Little Snow, can you confirm my suspicions and tell me I’m not being paranoid. That mountain we were on just now, it wasn’t real, was it?’
Little Snow's response came immediately, ‘No Master, it wasn’t. Everything on that mountain, and even the mountain itself was an illusion created by that man. The only thing that was real was the four of us on it. He’s really powerful.’
‘Hm, it’s like I thought. Soul Transformation Realm cultivators aren’t something to underestimate. People in that realm of cultivation have tapped into a level of power cultivators before can’t even fathom. I myself don’t necessarily know what that cultivation Realm is capable of, I would have to reach it to find out. Well, that’s quite a bit away. Unbeknownst to him, up ahead on the path, an arrogant-looking youth that was stepping forward like he owned the ground he walked on, was seen with a few attendants behind him.
