The entire cavern shook intensely so much that loose rocks detach from the ceiling and landed with a bang. It seemed the cave would soon collapse completely.
Li Shen watched as Mo Rong’s power skyrocketed. His strength was no less than someone in the mid-stage of the Core Formation Realm before, but now his power easily reached the Nascent Soul Realm in one go.
Li Shen’s face instantly turned solemn.
Mo Rong sneered as his aura rolled out in waves. He then flicked his hand towards Li Shen and the others, causing his dark miasma to rush out towards them.
In an instant, it overwhelmed them and forced them back. Li Shen manipulated the six elements in the surroundings to create several walls to stop this overbearing attack while he retreated with the others simultaneously. But they all shattered in less than a second.
Even as Yang Su tried to help him conjure the Qi walls, his face went pale before he coughed out a mouth full of blood because of the backlash.
He then turned to Li Shen and wondered how his Master could withstand so much backlash from his Qi walls being destroyed when he couldn’t even withstand four.
The answer to that was Li Shen’s two physiques, his Heavenly Physique, and his Spiritual Chaos Physique. No amount of Qi backlash would majorly affect him, and even though they haven’t reached their full potential yet, as they were now they were extremely terrifying.
But as Li Shen and the others were being forced back by Mo Rong’s strength, Li Shen's eyes couldn’t help but flicker with frustration.
Soon Li Shen’s eyes gain a steely look before he called out.
“Tai! Get them out of here!!”
Mu Fan hearing that immediately barked a retort.
“Bullshit!!”
Mu Fan was enraged as he glared at Li Shen.
“We aren’t going anywhere, do you think we can’t fight in this battle?! We-”
“It’s not that!!”
Li Shen cut off Mu Fan as he yelled.
As Li Shen maintained his Qi wall, he turned to look back at everyone and said seriously.
“This Mo Rong isn’t trying to kill us, he’s merely trying to capture us so he can replenish his strength.”
Mu Fan and the others hearing this had their faces fall, as they turned to look at the strength Mo Rong was displaying.
Was this really him holding back, how strong was he exactly?
“Isn’t this more reason why we should fight him together?!”
Mu Fan gritted his teeth and almost growled out those words.
Li Shen shook his head before saying.
“I can’t fight at my full strength with all of you here.”
Everyone heard that and they didn’t know what it was, but some inexplicable emotion rose and engulf their hearts.
Li Shen’s face immediately soften as he said once again.
“There’s no doubt that you guys have improved, way beyond my expectations. But as soon as you guys improved immensely, you immediately face this sort of enemy. We can’t kill Mo Rong as that would be killing Fang Chen, so you guys will always have a notion to hold back against him.”
“Do you have a method to save Fang Chen?”
Lihua asked.
Li Shen shook his head.
“I have to capture him before I can examine his body to find a way. But the method I have to do that won't allow you to participate in this battle.”

The Qi walls Li Shen was holding back Mo Rong’s attacks shattered, making them retreat even more.
As the cavern walls got closer to their backs, Mu Fan couldn’t help but clench his fists and said angrily.
“He’s just toying with us.”
“Alright, I’ll trust Master, please rescue junior brother Chen.”
Yang Su immediately said.
Mu Fan was frustrated but he soon relented at the same time Lihua and Fei Yin did.
Their figures then disappeared as they were pulled into Tai’s separate pocket dimension. Before leaving, Mu Fan suddenly said.
“We aren’t leaving the Demon Grotto much less this Dimension. If your plan ever fails then we’ll immediately jump in.”
His figure then disappeared leaving Jun alone. He was clenching his fists as he was the one who really didn’t have the right to disagree with Li Shen’s decision.
Even as the dark miasma of Mo Rong clashed against Li Shen’s Qi wall, his body instinctively trembled. He was too weak to even overcome Mo Rong’s dark miasma much less fight him.
Before Jun left, he raised his head and asked.
“Master, is Fang Chen really still alive?”
Jun had suppressed his doubts and worries in front of everyone, but now he couldn’t help but ask.
Without turning back to face Jun but keeping his palm outstretched to maintain his Qi wall, Li Shen said with assured confidence.
“He’s alive. I was fifty percent confident before we came to this cave, but after meeting this Mo Rong I’m a hundred percent certain Fang Chen is still fighting to regain consciousness inside his own body.
“Hurry and leave with the others, I think Mo Rong has discovered you’re disappearance already.”
Jun nodded before Tai took him and everyone and headed for the cave entrance.
Afterward, the dark miasma bombarding Li Shen suddenly retreated.
Li Shen lowered his Qi wall and came face to face with Mo Rong. Seeing that everyone besides Li Shen had somehow escaped, Mo Rong's face displayed a wretched expression.
“Bastards!!”
He couldn’t help but roar out at the thought that he allowed his food to escape from right under his nose.
Mo Rong’s blood-red eyes landed on Li Shen and they narrowed into slits as he said in a vicious voice.
“After I consume you I’ll go find you’re followers. Do you think they can escape from me?”
Li Shen didn’t respond to Mo Rong’s words and simply stepped forward.
Mo Rong seeing this sneered in contempt.
“Don’t tell me you plan on fighting me by yourself. Haha! I might not have recovered my strength fully but an insignificant Godling like you isn’t someone I put in my eyes!”
“Fang Chen.”
Li Shen completely ignored Mo Rong's words as he said in a soft voice.
“If you can hear me, show that you can.”
Mo Rong hearing this had his brows furrowed.
“Don’t waste your time, as I said your friend is already de-”
Before Mo Rong could finish his sentence, his aura suddenly fluctuated unnaturally.
Mo Rong’s face instantly turned ugly upon realizing that it was because of Fang Chen. He thought he had completely suppressed him but who would have thought at this moment he would show that he still had some influence over his physical body?
‘This fucking brat!’
Mo Rong couldn’t help but curse internally, but at the same time, he was frightened by Fang Chen’s tenacity. To be able to resist him as long as he did, was not something any normal human could do.
Mo Rong was a Qiong Qi Divine Beast that had the ability to devour anything. With his already stronger Divine Will, albeit it was severely injured and weakened, Fang Chen’s Will Power was just too horrifying to still be holding out against him even now.
Li Shen upon sensing the fluctuations in Mo Rong's aura smiled.
“Good, since you can hear me listen to me carefully.
“Don’t give up. Don’t stop trying to resist him. No matter what, I’ll find a way to save you.”
Mo Rong’s ugly expression became even uglier since as soon as Li Shen's words were fully uttered, the resistance he was feeling from Fang Chen's soul multiplied by several folds.
Mo Rong almost coughed out blood at this. After months to nearly a year of refining this boy’s soul, how can he still have so much strength to resist him?
Two indistinguishable flames were in Li Shen’s eyes, with his ability to sense emotions, he could feel the little spark of Fan Chen’s determination being ignited.
Mo Rong immediately began suppressing Fang Chen once again before he coldly said to Li Shen.
“This makes no difference, in fact, this is even better. After watching me devour you, he would be left with no hope to resist and would eventually be fully consumed by me.”
Li Shen stepped forwards.
“Devour me? Well, you can try, but you might choke if you’re not careful.”
Immediately as Li Shen said that and took a step forward, a loud bang resounded in the cavern.
Mo Rong who was derisively looking at Li Shen, stared in shock as a large hundred-meter-wide whirlpool projection emerge from Li Shen's body., filling the entire cavern
As the Time Qi from Li Shen’s Qi Sea projection swept the surroundings, Mo Rong had the Time Laws batted against his face. His shoulders and posture even sunk as the Qi Sea was releasing a Domain pressure into the surroundings that even affected him.
He realized that the power he could call upon in this Domain significantly decreased, coupled with Fang Chen’s resistance, Mo Rong’s face become solemn.
