Jun stuttered as he along with everyone felt as if the Sword Qi was going to burn them alive. It wasn’t that they were feeling any heat from the Sword Qi since Li Shen was controlling it, but it was just the feeling this Sword Qi was giving off.
The fire itself seemed to have gained a Will, a Will that they could all feel that seemed like it wanted to plunge the entire world into a fiery inferno.
Li Shen gritted his teeth. His Divine Will extended and grabbed onto the Fire Sword Qi in order to better stabilize it.
As if it was unwilling to be held down, Li Shen was dumbfounded when he felt it fighting back against his Qi manipulation and Divine Will.
‘Fine, you want to wreak havoc, then wreak havoc.’
Li Shen thought as he sent the Fire Sword Qi charging down towards the Mo Rong inside the Qiong Qi beast.
As if it sensed danger the Qiong Qi beast roared out in panic. Mo Rong's face was no longer calm, his hands formed several hand seals. The Qiong Qi beast despite not being fully formed began to move.
Its wings extended out to an absurd wingspan, before it covered itself in an attempt to withstand the horrifying fire of the Sword Qi. The roots moved as well, creating another barrier of protection.
The fire Sword Qi was so terrifying that the flames from it caused the roots to burst into flames before the sword had actually arrived.
It quickly reached the roots and penetrated what was left of it, before landing on the Qiong Qi beast’s wings.
Mu Fan and everyone sucked in a cold breath of air.
The fire Sword Qi didn’t pause for even a fraction of a second as it tore through the wings of the Qiong Qi beast, and partially cleaved its body in two.
Li Shen's eyes widen at the strength of the sword. It was nearly equivalent to the strike of some in the Nascent Soul Realm!
However, he couldn’t waste any time as a window of opportunity had arrived.
“Fei Yin, restrain it!”
Li Shen yelled and Fei Yin acted immediately.
Fei Yin formed several hand seals and pointed at the ground. Below the Qiong Qi beast, numerous green roots rose from the earth and penetrate its body.
It let out an enraged roar from the damage its body received, but despite its injuries, its wings began to reform, and it seemed as if it was going to take flight.
The injuries that it received from the fire Sword Qi were already rapidly healing, as the body at the wounds turned into loose fog that was forming together once more.
But Li Shen won’t let this opportunity go, Mo Rong was exposed with most of the dark miasma energy having been scattered away from him.
“Jun, are you ready?”
“Yes!”
Jun instantly replied.
“Alright, I’m counting on you.”
Li Shen said as he placed his palms together. He was feeling exhausted both physically and mentally, but he endure it.
His Qi Sea in his dantian rotated faster, and his nine Divine Platforms filled with Time Qi trembled uncontrollably.
Li Shen slowly moved his hand apart and dark Time Qi appeared before starting to form a sword between them.
Yang Su and everyone immediately felt the strong fluctuations of Time from this sword, and their hearts couldn’t help but shudder.
After forming the sword that was three meters long, Li Shen grabbed its hilt with one hand.
He had actually used 1/3 of the Time Qi in his dantian to form this sword. This was the first time Li Shen had used his Myriad Qi Creation Art to create something with his Time Qi.
Not that he didn't want to do this more, but aside from him hiding his Time Qi cultivation it because it was very difficult. He was only able to conjure elemental Sword Qi so easily because he had a Basic-level comprehension of the six elements and could manipulate the laws inside those elements.
But he couldn’t do that with Time Qi. To conjure this sword, he had to rely solely on his Divine Will to form it. Having already exhausted his Divine Will previously, Li Shen’s vision started to swim and he felt like his soul was going to tear apart from overusing it.
Li Shen, however, pushed himself to raise his hand and brought down his Time Qi Sword.
Mo Rong who was having the dark miasma and blood-red fog quickly surround him once again, looked up as Li Shen brought his hand down.
Nothing happened to him as Li Shen did that, but his calm insanity caused by the blood-red fog actually cleared up for a moment, as he stared in shock at the fire Sword Qi that previously attack him appearing once again.
It seemed like it had just been released, and was heading towards him for the first time.
Li Shen had long realized he couldn’t use his Time Qi like how he did with the other Qi. This was a brutish way to forcefully use his Time Qi, a better way was to create Daoist Magic spells that utilized his Time QI.
Only with that could his Time Qi be used to its full potential. After leaving this place, that was the one thing he must do besides cultivating to increase his strength.
Mu Fan and the others had their eyes go wide when they saw the appearance of the fire Sword Qi as well. They couldn’t understand what just happened and what Li Shen’s swing just did.
They were closer to him so they were able to sense the strong fluctuations in space that occurred after Li Shen brought down his sword. But this outcome was simply shocking and beyond anything they could have imagined would happen.
‘Did it reverse time?’
That thought flashed in everyone’s mind as the terrifying fire Sword Qi attacked Mo Rong once again.
Without the protection of the tree roots, the Qiong Qi beast could only use its barely recovered wings to protect itself. But it wasn’t enough, as the fire Sword Qi was just as strong and just as terrifying while its defense had significantly weakened.
The fire Sword Qi completely obliterated the Qiong Qi’s wings and fully cleaved its body in two.
Li Shen had aimed the fire Sword Qi so it wouldn’t hit Mo Rong the first time, so this second one followed the same trajectory.
The blood fog and dark miasma energy around Mo Rong were completely blasted away, leaving him exposed and a path for Jun to approach him.
Jun’s seeing this had his eyes his flicker a brilliant glow before they slowly turned white. His four white wings appeared on his back and with a slight movement, Jun suddenly appeared in front of Mo Rong.
His speed was simply too ridiculous.
“Brother Chen.”
Jun whispered softly as he went to place his hand on Mo Rong’s head, however, Mo Rong’s face suddenly morphed into a savage expression.
Dark miasma suddenly burst from his body and encapsulated Jun.
Everyone seeing this had their hearts dropped to the pit of their stomachs.
It seemed as if Mo Rong was expecting Jun to act, and had even prepared a countermeasure for him.
Of course, Mo Rong had known about Jun's ability. He was the one that had used the Karma String connection between Fang Chen and Jun to lure them here. He had long realized Jun’s manipulation of karma.
The memories of what he could recall of such power made him fear Jun more than anyone else. If anyone could stop him, it was Jun by using his ability to manipulate karma.
Even though Mo Rong suspected Jun wasn’t able to control it perfectly, that wasn’t enough to lessen his caution towards him.
Despite Mo Rong having lost his mental faculties and was only acting on his instincts, he still recognized Jun’s threat and acted without hesitation.
Lihua’s figure was the first to move, her heart feared the worst for Jun.
Jun’s figure was encapsulated inside the dark miasma and he couldn't be seen. Even a small residue of dark miasma was able to incapacitate Jun and nearly take his life if Li Shen wasn't there. This amount was simply too terrifying for him, and could have corrupted him on the spot.
He could have likely been killed.
However, something suddenly occurred.
“URGGHHH!!”
Jun’s voice could be heard letting out a roar, but it wasn’t from pain, it was a roar that was filled with determination and an indomitable Will. If not for Fang Chen Jun's Will Power would be the most abnormal one of the group.
Mo Rong had immediately retreated upon sending out his attack, but Jun’s figure suddenly burst out from the dark miasma.
Black veins were on his arms and legs, as the dark miasma worm into his body, corroding it.
But despite the excruciating pain he was in, Jun used his terrifying speed and appeared in front of Mo Rong again before grabbing his shoulders with an iron-like grip.
Mo Rong’s body suddenly burst with dark miasma and engulf both of them.
Mo Rong was doing everything he could to get away from Jun. As long as he could hold out for a moment, the dark miasma around them would recover and Jun might even be trapped in here.
Jun had basically sent himself to die.
However, as Mo Rong moved to retreat once again, Jun’s grip on his shoulders hadn’t lessened, it actually tighten.
Jun coughed out a mouthful of black blood and he looked up at Mo Rong, no, at Fang Chen seriously.
One of his eyes had already turned pitch black. His white hair and wings barely had any white on them, and black blood leaked from his nose, eyes, and ears.
Even if he were to survive for a bit longer, Li Shen might not be able to fully extract all the dark miasma that was already corrupting his bones, soul, and cultivation.
But despite Jun's tragic appearance, and the hell-like torturous pain he was feeling, his actions didn’t falter.
“Brother Chen…”
Jun hoarsely said as Mo Rong raised his fist to forcefully knock him back.
“…WAKE UP!!”
Before Mo Rong’s fist could reach Jun’s temple, Jun leaned his head back and slammed it viciously against Mo Rong’s forehead.
BANG!!
The blow was so devastating that a loud bang echoed out. It even created a shockwave that blasted away the dark miasma around them.
Jun’s physical body was second only to Li Shen’s and couple with his unmatched speed, this headbutt was simply too terrifying to imagine.
It instantly rattled not only Mo Rong but Jun’s head as well. The two were immediately incapacitated as a result.
However, after the head butt, a golden thread appeared that extended from Mo Rong’s chest to Jun’s.
The golden thread seem lackluster at first, but it soon started to shine with brilliance as if it was being reinforced.
Meanwhile, a red string suddenly appeared that left from Mo Rong’s forehead and extend to the ground below the Demon Grotto.
As soon as that red string appeared, it suddenly snapped in half.
The Qiong Qi beast that was 2/3 away from being completely formed suddenly collapsed into the blood-red fog.
Mo Rong’s eyes which were blood red slowly returned to normal before they closed.
On Fang Chen’s forehead, a small vertical stroke also appeared.
Both Fang Chen and Jun were unconscious, but before they could fall from the sky Lihua came and caught Jun, while Mu Fan caught Fang Chen.
Li Shen who was weakened, was already being helped over by Fei Yin who was sending Wood Qi into his body.
Coming up to Jun and Fang Chen, he checked on their conditions and his face became solemn.
"Fang Chen's soul is slowly dissipating and Jun's soul is slowly being corrupt. I need to bring them to my father."
After saying that, Li Shen took out the teleportation jade slips of Fang Chen and Jun before activating it. As they teleported out of the dimension he activated on his own and quickly left.
The others weren't slow either and they all activated their teleportation jade slips.
Their hearts were heavy as both Jun and Fang Chen were in critical conditions. They hoped the Emperor or an elder of the Li Royal family could save them.
