Swoosh!

Anang's leg lashed out like a steel whip. The force behind it was several thousand pounds of force as he was using his full strength and speed of his cultivation base at the Mid Core Formation Realm.

However, despite the speed of his kick, that force landed on nothing as Dai Hee dodge him once again.

'He-He's reading my movements and dodging even before I make a move? How is he doing this? This fucker was nothing more than an ant I could kill with a flick of my finger half a year ago, how did he become like this?'

As Anang threw out another punch, his body suddenly trembled.

"Damn it, my injuries from fighting that bastard still hasn't healed."

"Cousin Anang, I won't return to the clan no matter what, and you can't force me to or do anything else I don't want to."

Anang stared at Dai Hee who was looking at him with a serious expression; an ugly look appeared on his face.

"Bastard!"

Killing intent swirled in Anang's eyes while a terrifying Sword Aura erupted from his body. The Inn they were in couldn't handle his Core Formation cultivation base and began to tremble. Yells of people in the others rooms could be heard as well.

"You fucker, do you think I'll let you do what you want? So what if you used some devil arts to gain your cultivation, you're still an ant I can kill anytime I want!"

Dai Hee said nothing and instead shifted his foot into a combat-ready position. At the same time, his cultivation base of the Early Core Formation Realm slowly began to leak out.

Anang feeling this froze momentarily. When he looked at Dai Hee he got the feeling as if he was looking at a reserved and hesitant giant. But if he made a move to attack, that reservation and hesitation would become savagery in the name of self-protection.

It was only a brief feeling, but Anang had clearly sensed it. It was a similar feeling he received while fighting that person back at the Inn.

No, shockingly, the threat he was feeling from Dai Hee was stronger than that person.

After nearly dying to Yang Su's third step, Anang's sensitivity to deadly situations had heightened. And his senses were telling him if he made a move now and attacked Dai Hee, with his already injured body and Dai Hee's mysterious strength, he would undoubtedly lose.

"Bastard, this isn't over."

Anang decided not to attack and instead retreated. He turned around and left the room.

When he left, the serious look on Dai Hee's face fell and he weakly dropped to his but.

"I-I did it, I stood up Anang... O-Ouch."

Dai Hee suddenly winced as he tried to touch his face.

His sleeves fell to reveal the bite marks as result. Looking at them, Dai Hee thought for a moment then closed his eyes.

After a while a string of black energy wrapped around his arm. As it went down his palm towards his upper arm all the bite marks slowly disappeared.

"Time heals all wounds, and even though a scar will remain it can be covered up by happy memories. I don't have any but I can just make some, I no longer have to fear Anang or the clan finding me."

As Dai Hee said that, he suddenly thought of his father.

He was the only relative he had in the clan, but he did nothing as he was tortured by Anang and the Main Branch to extract his innate talent.

"Whatever, I don't want to think about him. I have no connection to the Sol Clan anymore, and neither will my surname be Sol."

As Dai Hee said that, he started removing his clothes. Soon he was bare revealing the many bite marks all over his body.

With his eyes closed, Dai Hee used that wisp of black energy to remove all the bite marks from his body. When he reached the last one on his neck, which was the smallest of all the bites, it suddenly glowed red and transformed into a blood-red rune.

"So that's how he was able to find me. I should have done this long ago."

Dai Hee said as he completely erased the rune. Afterward, he opened his eyes and stared at the black energy.

"Just what is this energy? It's different from the Spiritual Qi in my dantian. I just instinctively knew this would help, but I don't know where it came from. Not only that I've been ignoring a lot of odd things ever since I woke up in that Ice Cave."

After Dai Hee had escaped from the city his Sol Clan was in, he entered the Absolute Zero Domain. At that moment he would have rather die than continue living like he was.

But after several days in that cold environment with no cultivation, the Yin Energy ate away at his life force. Luckily, he came across an Ice Cave to hide from the Ice Blizzards, but at some point in the cave, he had dozed off, only to wake up feeling warm and refreshed.

After that many odd things pop up. Like his shattered soul he could now see, as well as his increase in physical strength. There were even times when his body would suddenly become as light as a feather causing him to float away in the air, or as heavy as a mountain causing him to be stuck in one place.

But the main one was how he knew how to cultivate, he had merely thought about it when a lot of information he never read anywhere before appeared in his mind.

No, it wasn't the normal way how everyone else cultivated.

There was something in his golden core that was absorbing the Spiritual Qi when he cultivated. But he couldn't see inside to find out what it was.

At certain points, Dai Hee didn't feel like himself.

"Now that I'm not a Sol, who am I?"

Dai Hee stared at his palm blankly as if the answer was somewhere on it.

Shiver.

Dai Hee suddenly shivered as his bare skin felt the full brunt of the cold. He hurriedly drew on his clothes, but in the middle of it, he suddenly grabbed his head.

"Urgh!"

Dai Hee had his vision swam with black spots and he nearly passed out. His headache grandly return to let its presence be known.

Dai Hee flipped over his palm to retrieve a bottle from his storage ring. He popped the cover to chug all the contents inside, however, it was empty.

"Damn it."

Dai Hee cursed as and threw that bottle to the ground.

"That was my last bottle of Soul Nourishing pills. I-I need to buy some more or else my head is going to burst open."

Dai Hee then released a breath of air and tried to suppress his headache.

Soon, Dai Hee was outside heading for an Auction House.

In this city, the best place to get Alchemy Pills was from a reputable Auction House rather than a common store that might sell false products for profit.

After taking to the sky, Dai Hee flew and reach the largest Auction House in this city. And it just so happens to be owned by the Mercenary Association, as could be seen from the bold letter spelling out their name on a signboard above the entrance.

After landing in front of this rather large Auction House, Dai Hee wasted no time in heading inside.

However, when he was moments away from entering the store he heard someone calling his name.

"Brother Dai, what a coincidence."

Dai Hee stopped and turned to see a youth around his age with snow-white hair approaching him. With him wearing a snow-white cape outfit along with that appearance, Dai Hee was sure if the youth were to lay face down in the snow no one would notice him.

"Who are you?"

Dai Hee saw the youth smile before he said.

"I'm Jun, and this is Tai."

Dai Hee looked down to see a cat with golden fur in the youth's hands.

He met gaze with that cat for longer than he wanted. Four seconds in, Dai Hee's hand suddenly twitched before raising up, but he forcefully stopped himself.

'Huh? What was I just going to do?'
