Chapter 107 My Darling Is Angry!
Jiang Yuyan felt embarrassed because of the bold words from Lu Qiang and her brother. She was more embarrassed because Lu Feng was there. Though they were childhood friends, she was not that friendly with him after so many years, and there was a certain line of hesitation between them.
She looked at Lu Feng for a moment, but he was just busy eating, with his face lowered down. She felt relieved that he ignored what these two blatant people talked about and didn't even look at her.
Lu Feng also noticed the scarf around Jiang Yuyan's neck, and it is evident for him to understand why she was wearing it. He ignored it, but when Jiang Yang pointed it out, he couldn't help but turn a blind eye to it and pretend not to notice it.
He didn't want Jiang Yuyan to feel embarrassed in front of him, so he just decided to pay attention to the food, and he didn't look at her even once.
Though somewhere in his heart, he felt a pain, he knew he could handle it. In fact, he knew he had to face it and bear with it.
Once they finished the food, the three men helped Jiang Yuyan clean the dining table and dishes since the servants were still on holiday. After that, they sat on the living room sofa; in four different places, some distance away from each other.
Lu Feng remembered that he hadn't wished Jiang Yuyan 'happy birthday' yet.
He looked at her and called her name, "Yuyan!"
Jiang Yuyan looked at him, "Umm?"
He looked into her eyes, which he believed, were the most beautiful part of her face. He smiled lightly, "Happy birthday!"
Jiang Yuyan smiled back, "Thank you."
Lu Feng felt glad to see her smiling. He wanted to keep looking at her, but he immediately averted his sight and looked at his cell phone. He knew when to stop himself and not go for something which didn't belong to him.
Jiang Yang didn't fail to notice Lu Feng's reaction and didn't want to miss the chance to tease his friend.
"Wooo! Her birthday was yesterday, and you wished her now. What kind of a friend are you?"
Lu Feng looked at Jiang Yang, "I would have done it earlier if you hadn't made me drink so much and put me in an awkward condition."
Jiang Yang gave him a questioning look, "What awkward condition? Are you talking about being shirtless?"
Lu Feng Just pressed his temple one more time and didn't answer him, but Jiang Yang continued.
"What's there to feel awkward? We were shirtless, but our pants were still on! Moreover, we are childhood friends so you can be in front of her in a single piece even."
"Don't you dare say such a thing again?" Lu Qiang and Lu Feng exclaimed at the same time?
Jiang Yang looked at both of them, but he only got the killer gazes in reply from them. When he looked at Jiang Yuyan, she did the same. Jiang Yuyan was embarrassed and could only curse her brother.
Jiang Yang laughed, "Single-piece! I mean to say, if my darling wears a single piece nighty for me, then my sister won't mind it. What could be more embarrassing for you than it?"
Lu Feng was got up and was ready to hit him; just then, Jiang Yang commented as he winked at Lu Feng, "My darling is angry. Come to me; I'll calm you down."
Lu Feng stopped and stepped back, while Lu Qiang and Jiang Yuyan tried to hide their smiles.
"I need to go now," Lu Feng turned to leave.
Jiang Yang suddenly remembered something and said, "Lu Feng, our cars are still in the parking lot of that pub."
Last night both were drunk. So, to avoid driving, they hired a cab to return home. Jiang Yang dragged Lu Feng along with him. Before returning home, they stopped at the supermarket and bought as many beer bottles as possible.
When they reached home, they finished the beer till the last drop and created a mess in the living room.
"I'll hire a cab," Lu Feng informed.
Lu Qiang heard him and offered, "No need, I will drop you wherever you want to go."
Lu Feng looked at him and spoke, "I don't want you to be late for your work."
"I have already informed in the office that I'll be late," Lu Qiang countered.
Before Lu Feng could say anything further to turn down Lu Qiang's offer' Jiang Yang intervened, "What office and what work? When we are together, nobody is allowed to think about work."
Lu Qiang and Lu Feng said nothing as they agreed to what Jiang Yang said.
"Lu Feng, you are going with Lu Qiang, and that's final. Otherwise, I will personally see my darling off to his workplace to ensure his safety; what do you say?" Jiang Yang declared as he winked at Lu Feng, smiling teasingly.
"No! I will go with Lu Qiang," Lu Feng immediately replied. For him, it was better to go silently with Lu Qiang than taking nuisance with him.
Just then, Jiang Yang got a message on his cell phone from the hospital and got up from the sofa in a hurry, "Sorry guys; I need to go to the hospital immediately. Lu Qiang, first you have to drop me at the hospital, then you can drop Lu Feng."
Hearing this, the other three laughed. Jiang Yang realized what just happened and explained, "Okay! Okay! I got it. What I said earlier was not for me. Being late to my work can cost someone's life."
Lu Qiang stood up, "We got it, now let's go."
Jiang Yang looked at his sister, "You have to be alone today too."
"It's fine! I will finish my work." She was thinking about her painting, which she left incomplete last time.
Jiang Yang looked at Lu Qiang, "We will be waiting outside," and left with Lu Feng.
